I don't think the timing works right, but there is no reason not to ask. I just double checked the history of the recoveries of "Counterplot" and "Escape Switch." They were found in a Mormon Church. It looks like the Mormons moved into Church and found the film there. According to a long time friend of my Dad (head of the local Stake), everything that might have been saved from there would have been sent to the Church's HQ in Salt Lake City, Utah or one of the other main branches. Anything that was not clearly labelled might have been sent to one of these places for safe keeping in case there were a claim later. My wife's friend said that if there had been enough junk in the new Church, they might have had them transported. The LDS are very meticulous about their records, so it might be possible to back track what was there for other canisters. Does anyone know how much checking has been done in this direction? I don’t think there was a need to send anything on to Salt Lake directly but the regional headquarters is currently Solihull. I’m not sure if Solihull was the headquarters forty years ago but anyway. I have some friends who could check but as others said, I’m sure the church would have managed to return other items a long time ago.

I served a service mission in the media department at the LDS church headquarters, and there are several Dr Who fans there, if there was lost episodes there they would have been returned long ago. I have personally been in the vaults where films are kept and did not see any dr who or other British television shows, but if you want to know how to train temple square gardeners that is the place to look. We might have a mutual friend! Will send a PM.

Although she couldn’t remember any names, she described one that stood out in her mind, and it sounded to me like a very accurate description of the final battle in Evil 7. What she probably saw / recorded was the Peter Cushing film "Dr Who and the Daleks'. Yes - in the 80s, I remember seeing the Cushing films on TV. That’s probably what they saw.

Chances are that it's a Tom Baker Blu-ray. Probably S12.

Doctor Who Online is not affiliated with the BBC and is well known for spinning false yarns on Twitter to get more traffic to their website. It's a disgusting practice. Proof of this?

What, about Mr. Morris? Simply put, they have more faith in Kaleidoscope than Mr. Morris, given the disagreement between the two. How and why on Earth did THOSE TWO fall out Scott????Both working towards the same end-is there something we should know about? I don’t presume to know what’s going on but one can look at the tweets made by Mr. Morris before Christmas.

Id love to think something may appear, as time is running out for so many of us. Ive kind of lost any faith in Phil Morris, I know everyone goes on about jeopardising his safety etc etc but how long does it have to take before some kind of announcement is made?. It doesnt have to be just Doctor Who, theres a whole wealth and spectrum of material out there somewhere, surely after all this time, some of thats been found, and doesnt have the kind of fan base that DOCTOR WHO does, so why cant some of that be made public...just so that we can see that time hasnt been wasted.I hope Im wrong, I expect this same topic again , this time next year. So what is Planet Mondas saying about the topic unofficially? What, about Mr. Morris? Simply put, they have more faith in Kaleidoscope than Mr. Morris, given the disagreement between the two.

Now what I was curious about was every one knows about Enemy and Web but were there any other BBC shows that were recovered during Phil's travels that were never reported or even any redundant Who prints, I think I remember something about a poor quality Ambassadors of Death but that's it The two Sky at Night shows.

Jon's list and research is first rate. The "experts" I am referring to are the ones who claimed that there "high ranking sources" at the BBC said "restoration" was being performed on massive amounts of episodes by multiple restoration teams due to the sheer amount of work needed to be done. It is those "experts" that I am referring to. The ones who were so wrong and then disappear. I’m sometimes reminded that an “ex” is a has been and a “spurt” is a drip under pressure Going back four years I was fairly convinced that some were mainly interested in driving traffic to their websites. Puqui didn’t have a website. Neither did I. For what it’s worth - I am sorry for what has happened. There was some truth (EW) but there was also a lot of unverified junk too. At this point, all info is suspect. Best bet is look at the rumors prior to the Bleeding Cool article in June 2013.

According to Gallifreybase, the 4 film cans of The Ice Warriors, and the empty (blast the luck) film can of Fury from the Deep 6 may have been returns from Singapore... So, in that case, RTS may well have returned all their non-bicycled films to the BBC, and that could well be some sort of evidence that the last known copy of The Power of the Daleks was indeed returned to the UK and... destroyed. Yet, there is hope beyond hope it seems, for, according to the 'omni-rumour', there are know to be two complete film sets of Power in existence, one set in a right s***-state and the other in far better condition! However, Bleeding Cool cautions us that the owner of these films may be "a man playing up his own eccentricities for negotiation purposes, but at no point giving any real evidence that he had copies of the episodes in question." "Yes, man, I have two sets of The Power of the Daleks, but the price is high..." I don't recall that rumor...? Two sets in existence. I find that hard to believe.

I think the key is the "Injecting more Power" bit. Why use that particular word and why was it capitalized? They are a fan site with no dkrect connection to anyone involved with the show or recovery of missing episodes. At best they are referencing the recent rumours about an animated version being produced, at worst its just an accidental typo. There is nothing to read into. Are you quite sure? They reported on Web in 2007. I think there was something to their contacts. Besides, the owner had remarked on the Power animation elsewhere, indicating that he was pretty sure about it happening.
