Just to ask has Marco Polo and the Crusade have been Truly found since 50th Anniversary? Marco Polo mostly likely since the BBC didn't comment and BBC Worldwide hinted at The Crusade toward Doctor Who Online. So if this is true, please confirm since people do work first hand as this stuff! I needed to comment on it. I know I'm not supposed to post the rumour content.

Not that I have heard. In order to avoid disappointment, wait for an official announcement. It seems that every second person in fandom has a 'reliable source' (usually a stranger on the internet). I have personally heard a rumour about pretty much every story in the last few years and yet, strangely, they are not sitting on my DVD shelf. Why is that.........? I know from experience that there are those out there who will take great umbrage from my lack of blind faith in anyone with an internet connection, but I am prepared to take that

What a TRULY pointless thread. Like so many times before since 2013, people naming stories which have been 'truly' found, and it only gets people's hopes up and dashed once the year passes with no new returns. The only 'truly' is an official annoucement.
Worth keeping this thread up for the shallow entertainment value of it, but ultimately, again, this is just a load of bollards, probably.

This thread will only intrigue those who've returned from their pub sunday roast in a drunk state.

When Doctor Who stuff is genuinely recovered though there is this stupidity now to sit on it for months or years before anything is announced. This does nothing but fuel rumours and speculation. Dunno about Crusade but Phil Morris is supposed to have found Marco Polo ages ago. With this culture of secrecy surrounding lost episodes if he has don't expect to hear about for a very long time.

As long as I have been a fan of Doctor Who there have been rumours of missing episodes 'found'. The 'High' point being the Omnirumour/shambles of a few years ago. Let's face it no-one knows what Phil Morris has found from ALL missing Whos to 10,000 cans of film of all sorts. We will find out in the fullness of time once he has finished his exhaustive search. He may have some or none. Anything hinted at is just speculation. It will be real for me when it sits in my DVD player. The rumour Mongers love Who fans as someone somewhere will run with it and straw clutch proclaiming a new hoard. Rumour threads, like this one should be deleted by the moderator. It's really not needed here.

Finally! A rumor to smile at! Its been so dead I was beginning to give up hope. Translation Legend of Terms: Partially found: Nothing found. Maybe Found: Nothing found. Recovered: 2 Hartnells (rumor a year ago) Nothing found. Found: Nothing Found Truly found: Statement taken out of context--Nothing found. Omnirumor: Something found and announced--therefore--THERE HIDING SOMETHING! Omniconsparicy: The Beep never actually lost them and are just trying to generate hype and drum up business Bottom line, most likley nothing found, but, something, somewhere might exist <=fodder for new rumor.....

Well if you want to be very Machiavellian about it, the supposed instruction from BBC Worldwide to a Nigerian archive to junk Marco Polo rather than return it in 1997 seems to have recently surfaced again. Perhaps someone is waiting in the wings to say 'don't worry chaps, we've got a copy back anyway". Lol, if only life was like that.....

Let's face it no-one knows what Phil Morris has found from ALL missing Whos to 10,000 cans of film of all sorts. Alan And you are wrong on that. Far more was being leaked than just Web and Enemy during the year of 2013. We got those two stories back but Phil Morris has others which for reasons that nobody seems to know have yet to be returned.

I wanted to ask since in 4-5 years the BBC never commented on it. They're doing they're History of the BBC and apparently found the first 10 minutes of BBC2. So they should've at least acknowledged it
