Let's face it no-one knows what Phil Morris has found from ALL missing Whos to 10,000 cans of film of all sorts. Alan And you are wrong on that. Far more was being leaked than just Web and Enemy during the year of 2013. We got those two stories back but Phil Morris has others which for reasons that nobody seems to know have yet to be returned. Can I ask what other stories were leaked Steve?

The point I was making was that according to the Omnishambles rumour mill anything from all Who to 10,000 cans of film had been recovered. No one really will know the truth in anything until the official report comes out.

Doctor Who Online is not affiliated with the BBC and is well known for spinning false yarns on Twitter to get more traffic to their website. It's a disgusting practice.

This was what was else was 'leaked', all to be taken with a pinch of salt: Of the one hundred and six missing episodes, they comprise ninety of them. The only ones not included are nine episodes of The Dalek Master Plan, plus Mission To The Unknown, two episodes of The Invasion, two episodes of The Ice Warriors, and two episodes of The Wheel In Space.

The Doctor Who Restoration Team have done wonders in pushing the frontiers of television restoration, but to date their project to develop software that will convert rumours into CCIR System A video has proven somewhat problematic!

Well look the amount of times they've teased announcements that never came or just literally started rumours by saying they were hearing rumours. They've indirectly suggested Marco Polo, The Crusade and The Wheel In Space have been found without directly saying that to lure traffic to their site. It's evidently what they're doing, I wouldn't trust a word they say. Of course if we do see all three of those stories released in some way I'll take it back but these comments go back a long time by this point.

I recall - I think - DWO making a big fuss about Web “definitely” being found years ago. We now know that PM got to Jos in late 2011 - this was years before that. I don’t think they ever apologised for misleading people over that.
The omnirumour was, as some have said, largely - I also contend - to drive traffic to websites.
If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is !
From the work done on transmission dates, bicycling, etc there was/is a reasonable idea of where to look and PM effectively endorsed that when he found Enemy and Web in Nigeria - the last place they’d been broadcast. That’s why some, very reasonably imho, think that there might be more Season Five in Nigeria.
The omnirumour, to have any credibility, required episodes to have been recovered from multiple locations and it was just too far fetched.

The omnirumour, to have any credibility, required episodes to have been recovered from multiple locations and it was just too far fetched. Definately the omnirumour in itself is too far fetched. But then the fact that a large number of episodes are still to this day listed under the 'Fate Unknown' category isn't so far fetched. Unlike the Australian returns, there is no paperwork to prove that many episodes sent out were ever returned to the UK or destroyed abroad. It's speculation. If this large number are still out there waiting to be discovered (or have already been) then, one day, the omnirumour can indeed to be put to rest, replaced by the more realistic facts of what has actually been recovered. And lets hope it's every single one of those 'Fate Unknown' episodes. Sounds too good to be true, I know...

I want to take down this thread really...I'm sorry Actually, Shawn, it's turned into a good discussion thread. So, I'm going to say sorry instead to you that I called this a 'pointless/sunday drunk at the pub fodder' thread, earlier. Marco Polo is one of those stories that had a large number of copies shipped overseas, so it has the highest chance of being found. Having said that, 3 episodes of Dalek Masterplan have been previously found, so maybe odds don't really have anything to do with what gets found after all!

Sebastian Brooks has been stealing content and faking stuff for his website for .... gosh, since last century sometime. When you call him on it, he just fills your mailbox with spam. It's been documented time, and time again. There's nothing new here - why would anyone talk such a silly site seriously?
