Personally, I'd love to think that there was truth at the back of the Omnirumour, but realistically, I don't. I never have.
Given the rate of recoveries we've had in the last ten years, even finding Enemy and Web sounded like fantasy to me. The chances that there are 90 episodes sitting there waiting to be restored is minimal. Given that the age of the prints means that time would be of the essence in starting the process, I very much doubt the restoration team would have the time to undertake other major projects such as... oh, I don't know, making Blu Ray sets of Tom Baker's first season, maybe?

If Marco Polo had been "truly found", I'd have watched it roughly 5,937 times by now.
As it stands, I've seen it zero times.
So I'm placing my answer as "No".

www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f_LqAXzol0 Here's the first 10 Minutes of BBC Two's description: "For years the recording of the opening of BBC TWO in 1964 was thought to have been lost, but here it is in all its glory!" - BBC YouTube Channel Oh my word. If Alan Partridge did that you'd think he'd spun totally out of the realms of probability.

I'm sure if it had been found the BBC would be announcing a DVD release as soon as possible they need to sell it to us the second time (the first time being on audio). Then they will announce a special edition in 3 years time with all the extras they did not have time to put on the first edition as they were in a hurry to take our money. As its not been announced I got out on a limb and say its not been found

*Denotation of Heavy Sarcasm* Discovered in a Janitorial Closet in Ecuadorian Embassy in Latvia, Marco Polo was mailed back to the BBC. Arriving at the post, the package was misplaced near the heat vent of the furnace for a few years. After rediscovery, it was attempted to be delivered to the BBC offices postage due. Budget constraints prevented postage from being paid and it was then shipped back to the embassy. Shipping slip-up then redirected it to the dead letter office USA where the smell of Vinegar Deterioration alerted authority's to a potentially dangerous package. As hazmat teams scrambled, an overzealous custodian then binned it in dumpster 64 were it was noticed by a hoarder known as 'Klepton' who took it home. Reading the label of "Marco Polo" he remarked "I hate that game" and then used it to replace the missing wheels under his dishwasher with the damaged seal, leaking profusely. After years of water leakage, a large sinkhole developed and swallowed the building. Current fate of print now unknown. Long story short, were not likely to see it any time soon, if at all.

A rude word's been blanked out of it, but at least we can see it's been edited, unlike the Top of the Pops clip where the censorship was clumsily covered up.

The impression is worse, because it's bleeped, but isn't it a racially-derogatory word which is quoted in the context of a court-case?

Not that I have heard. In order to avoid disappointment, wait for an official announcement. It seems that every second person in fandom has a 'reliable source' (usually a stranger on the internet). I have personally heard a rumour about pretty much every story in the last few years and yet, strangely, they are not sitting on my DVD shelf. Why is that.........? I know from experience that there are those out there who will take great umbrage from my lack of blind faith in anyone with an internet connection, but I am prepared to take that I have friends that work in the BBC and the Restoration team, and I will tell you this. They will not tell anyone, anything that will jeopardize trust, or integrity, or put in danger any recoveries. I do not need to know, therefore I don't know. They are contract bound and I respect that. When I see, "I have a inside friend that told me ..." I know it's BS,

Not sure what the point of it is,other than improving OB film quality and cramming in a few more documenataries and features. In all honesty,I hardly watch the extras as I'm more interested in watching the actual programme and any additional information I like to get from books, magazines and specialist CDs and DVDs.Somehow the BBC features don't seem to interest me!

Picture quality remains to be seen, but sound quality should be a massive step up from DVD releases.

Have Marco Polo and the Crusade have been Truly found since 50th Anniversary?
Since the 50th Anniversary? ... No.
Prior to? ... Well, I think so!
But have they been Officially found? ... Officially, no.
