Probably unlikely but I'll follow it up. Some of you may remember I took a pretty detailed look at the Macra New Zealand lead, so I'm becoming pretty proficient in following up these school claims Cheers. D. Cheers, thought I'd let someone more experienced handle it. Good luck!

Just had a look on Google and school in question has a Facebook page, it may be possible for someone to check the authenticity of the Amazon claim by asking if anyone there around in the 70s remembers private screenings of films. Of course I find the whole thing unlikely as why would people from Singapore be on UK Amazon.

Some very interesting information, of course it could be some more idiots trying to get us excited over nothing. But if it is true that at least gives us a little bit of hope to Power's existence (which is more than before) but even if it wasn't thrown out by the school (assuming they don't still have it) it could be absolutely anywhere in Singapore sold to some shop or sold to a collector. If this information could be verified it'd definitely be worth Phil Morris or Ian Levine looking into it as Singapore is thankfully not the largest country (only a 5.3 million population) and it's pretty civilised. I wouldn't get your hopes up in any capacity however.

As this is a complete animation, rather than the usual couple of episodes to fit alongside the existing episodes, I wonder if they considered animating it in colour. It probably wouldn't have added much to the animation process, and for the purists you can simply turn the colour down on your TV. Particularly as there are lots of colour photos of the Daleks, sets etc........ That'd be great for episodes like Marco Polo! I have the colourised recon on a DVD and it looks beautiful, if that one got animated I'd certainly like it in colour. I think the rest benefit from the atmosphere black and white brings however.

Did the censors write any reports on what material should be cut, & if so do any of these survive? This link has a list of them, don't know if every single cut is recorded here but it's a good chunck of them including ones we dn't have but are on record as being cut. missingepisodes.blogspot.co.uk/p/censors.html

Why does Amazon have Power listed as a 2 disc set? Can anyone confirm that? Well its not impossible that it's a listing mistake but I think if Amazon have listed it as a 2 Disc set, it probably will be, but we'll have to wait and see won't we.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but if Singapore's been searches then barring a private collector, Power is gone, along with Evil and the Tenth Planet, joining Master Plan in the list of episodes that will never be recovered. However, on a brighter note, every single other Troughton has disappeared in Zambia (The missing historicals from seasons 1 and 2 have also disappeared in places, but not Zambia) except for The Invasion and Fury from the Deep, the only country other than NZ, Australia, and Singapore to air them was Gibratar, where the Invasion prints we have most likely came from, so I don't think we'll ever get 1 and 4 of the Invasion back either. The Fury prints did vanish, however. Also, all season 3 prints other than those from Singapore and Sierra Leone are accounted for, so if there are no prints left in Singapore then there is very little hope for the season 3 episodes either as the Sierra Leone prints are destroyed with 99% certainty. If they had been sent back to the BBC they would have been junked and if they had stayed in Sierra Leone then they would have been destroyed when the TV studio burned down, so unless some of the Sierra Leone prints ended up in a relay station like Web and Enemy then there is no hope for the season 3 episodes + The Smugglers either. So ultimately, barring private collectors or weird errors in shipping, the only serials we have a realistic chance at having recovered are those from seasons 1, 2, and 5, the season 4 Troughtons other than Power and Evil, and the Space Pirates (14 out of 26, one more than half the currently missing episodes). Man, that was depressing to type. We lost The Space Pirates!?!? NO! I've been genuinely hoping that it would resurface, and would be hailed as a classic... Shame. Well, we still got Power 6... Why on Earth do you think we have Power 6? Is this something I don't know about or is it just a rumor.

The five countries where Doctor Who episodes have disappeared: Hong Kong, Nigeria, Singapore, Zambia, and Gibraltar. With Hong Kong thoroughly searched and eliminated, the search in Nigeria nearing its conclusion, and Singapore seemingly Doctor Who free, that just leaves two countries: Gibraltar and Zambia. I know that Phil Morris visited Zambia in 2008 and declared ZTV held no episodes, but I am curious how thorough the search was. Was it long and scrutinous like the one in Nigeria or was it a quick check in that could have missed things? Also, has Phil Morris or any other distinguished episode hunter scoured Gibraltar? 100% thorough and more. At the Starburst Film Festival he couldn't say where he had been, for obvious reasons, but in time we will be told all, and I'm sure we'll be quite amazed at how many places he has visited, and how 11 out 10 thorough his search has been. Us fans of missing episodes, it's like we're the shepherds in the Bible story, watching the sheep, and it's like God has unexpectedly sent us this person named Phil Morris out of nowhere to bring us good news! That's a bloody brilliant comparison!
