There seem to be three or four recons of exploding planet on daily motion and YouTube including the loose cannon version. But why anyone should imagine that blocked or removed sites indicates that returned D r Who is imminent I can't fathom. I can only think because it's rather odd for just episode 4 to be taken than rather than the whole recon. if your the copyright holder why not take down the whole story. I don't see why they'e being so puritanical about it, it's not like the BBC is still selling missing episode soundtracks or anything, if they realease the animations it's fair enough but episode 4 of Galaxy 4 is something the BBC currently isn't selling.

Can't really say Galaxy 4 is a story I particularly care for, but there are rumours doing the rounds about Marco, Wheel, Fury and Snowmen right now. So, like with the other rumours, treat them as lies until proof is shown. Oddly enough, I don't mind rumours like this anymore. I just let my mind go off on a pleasant little fantasy, rather like imagining what it would be like to win the lottery, without actually raising my hopes up. Richard Same here Richard, I don't believe them for a second but I do enjoy indulging in the very thought of it.

Is there any evidence whatsoever? If not completely ignore it until proof is shown and trust me if there was proof it'd be round the internet like wildfire.

As a child I used to indulge in Lost In Time quite a lot, hence I know my surviving clips pretty well. Upon watching the special features of the new Power DVD I noticed a few new additions. One was less interesting and more explainable, it was really short off air 8mm fragments of a second or less which they may just not have bothered about on Lost In Time. However more interestingly there were two new clips presumably from 16mm film, one from episode 4 where the Daleks are exclaiming they are a new race of Daleks and the literal title sequence of episode 6 with the Daleks Conquer And Destroy bit with the title text over it.Are these new finds or am I just behind on the times or is there another explanation? If I am right where are they from, censor clips from abroad? Perhaps the episode 6 bit may be a surviving fragment from the wiped 35mm copy held by the BBC until it was junked. Can anybody share any wisdom on this please?

My copy of Power just arrived an hour ago two days early! Looking forward to watching it, cheers Amazon for an overly prompt delivery.

I think there are probably more out there, doesn't mean we'll ever get them though. There's probably a few in private hands which is either knowingly or unknowingly kept from us. But again this is speculation and of course it's very possible we've exhausted the well, we simply don't know. Although if stuff older than Doctor Who like The Avengers can still be found in 2016 it certainly puts a few more within the realm of possibility.

Yet more clutching at straws! Look there's no evidence here whatsoever just teases to get attention. Until BBC confirm something to be true, nothing is coming. That's how to think and not be disappointed all the time when you believe click bait crap like DW Online and read too far into some offhand comments by Phil Morris.

Well I wouldn't hold your breath, he could have been talking about a many number of shows, or just messing with everyone, who knows. This means nothing unless at some point we get an official announcement. Before that day it means nothing to me as there's no evidence he's even referring to Doctor Who.

Aren't the model shot films on Lost in time? Yeah "Space Pirates Film Trim Inserts" if I remember correctly.

I don't think they should release Lost In Time but I think they should make all orphan episodes available on the BBC Store in case people want legal access.

I'll say The Daleks Master Plan parts 1 to 6 and The Daleks Master Plan parts 7 to 12.

I'd be happy to know if something had been recovered as soon as it was found. If it takes 6 months or so to clean up the episodes and make them available then it'll be something to look forward too. As long as they don't keep us waiting as long as they did for The Underwater Menace episode to be released. The BBC Store could easily release an un-restored version to get something out quicker, then just replace the files on their server with better ones when the episodes were finally restored. How long was the gap between announcing that Tomb of the Cybermen had been found and the actual VHS release? I don't know how long that gap was but I know they held off announcing as they were contractually obliged to release a cassette version of the soundtrack in that range they did in the early 90s.

Really? I always though UWM 3 was far better than any of the other episodes! For UWM it goes 3, 2, 4, 1. The first episode is just an absolute mess! The Wheel In Space 1, 5 and 6 are much better than the other three episodes (although unlike most I rather enjoy that story). With Daleks Master Plan which is arguably the story with the most variation in quality I think the best is episodes 1 to 5 which are some of the best Doctor Who of all time, then 6, 10, 11, 12 which are really good but not up to the same level as the first five, then 7 to 9 are pretty average and kill the pace of the story.

Nah, someone found somebody who had a video recorded copy of what they thought Space Pirates 3 which turned out to be 2 on closer inspection. But not VCR. Open reel. (And not a standard format, either. All a bit Heath Robinson, IIRC.) Earliest video recording, but not earliest VCR recording. Ah fair enough! Still it doesn't matter what format it's on if we get a missing episode returned! Unlikely we'll ever get one that way but not impossible.
