This is great news. November can't come soon enough. I wonder if this means we may get more animated stories like Marco Polo or Fury From the Deep. (Or even The Underwater Menace and The Crusade)

I think a lot will do with the success of this story.
Would be great to see it followed by evil. Hopefully press releases highlight that power is missing and maybe a print could be returned

The animation is greatly enhanced by the original soundscape designed by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. It still sends a shiver down my spine even though it was produced 50 years ago. I wonder if it will be released with a 5.1 surround sound mix?Certainly sounds that way on the official trailer.

So now we know Phil hasnt found any episodes....thats a shame but this is one hell of a consolation prize...I am seriously looking forward to this, especially as its being recreated with all existing formats and in its original state. Seriously pleased.

(Or even The Underwater Menace and The Crusade) I thought the photo reconstruction of The Underwater Menace was very well done Ah, but that to me, is the most important point. I thought after reading about the way Underwater Menace was treated that we had enemies inside the BBC, or at least that the BBC just wanted old Dr Who dead and forgotten. This announcement represents the opposite. Quite surprising, actually. Of course, it was always going to be a Dalek story, and it's wonderful that the two missing viable alternatives (i.e. not masterplan) are such wonderful stories, and I hope, and expect, that Evil will follow if Power sells well. Richard P.S. I've just read about the BBC America involvement ....

Ah it was Charles Norton, he was also behind the Dad's Army reanimation.

"A special screening of the first three episodes will take place at BFI Southbank in London on 5 November, with a DVD release to follow on 21 November."

That bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment info is interesting - Charles Norton's 20th August post on GallifreyBase after the leaked footage, suggested otherwise! Maybe he was just being pedantic because it was a BBCWW commission or depending upon how you parse it, no more 'Frazer' was commissioned.

It all sounds good, I hope there will be a few other ones like it.
