Haven't heard anything about this for a couple of years now. Has it finished yet? If not, when is it likely to conclude? We were promised an update when done but I have heard nothing, so when will we read a report re findings?

"Nothing remains of popular 60s programmes such as 'Francie & Josie' (two Glaswegian Teddy Boys). Some good news is that at least one enthusiast taped these on reel to reel. All of these recordings are in private hands" What ! u mean someone out there has copies of " the adventures of francie and josie " , i read in the recent script book that Stv for some reason wiped them all which was strange because it got more viewers than coronation street ! If someone does have them does anyone know if they are prepared to give them up to Stv ? I realise that this is a very old post but I would love to find an audio recording of Francie and Josie. If anyone has any clues re how to locate them please PM me. Many thanks.

Couldn't he simply be a fan who's hoping to find a few missing episodes? If anyone is that concerned , why don't they simply email him and ask?

Hated "The Massacre" as a child and still disliked when I heard it recently.

Some weeks ago I wrote to the BBC under the Freedom of Information act asking them how many episodes of Doctor Who were still missing. Yesterday I got a reply the gist of which was that they were refusing to divulge such details as the Act allowed for exemptions under Journalism, Arts or Literature. I queried how this would apply to programmes destroyed 40 years ago and got a response today. I quote the relevant part of their reply below.
"In practical terms, the BBC has interpreted this to mean that we are not required to supply information held for the purposes of creating the BBC's output or information that supports or is closely associated with these activities."
I can only interpret this as suggesting that not only has something been found but that it is being considered for broadcast or at the very least being put on DVD in the near future. What do other people think ,bearing in mind that they could easily have replied "106" if nothing had been found?

Not all elderly people are comfortable using email, stick to the phone number.

What about transmitting a programme on the BBC World Service about missing episodes?

Perhaps they are awaiting the Royal visit next week to announce a find when the press are already there?

Many thanks but have found a programme that automatically sizes pictures to DVD cover size.Google also lists several sites where fans exhibit their designs.

My point was that maybe they were scavenged Before being buried (ie sold to collectors instead of being trashed, obviously there is no point in digging them up now but suppose they were never buried in the first place....).
