Sounds like gangs of marauding film collectors roaming the streets, mugging people for films--this world just isn't safe anymore! Seriously, I hope tenacity and ingenuity have rescued and preserved as much as possible.

I firmly believe there will be more. I doubt PM has scored anything like enemy & web, but I believe he probably has found some random prints of orphaned episodes. It may be another 5-10 years before PM says "Thats all Folks." I think as his search continues, it evolves and more atypical leads spring up, it will likely be some time to come. I just hope all leads are exhausted until the well is dry.
Outside of TIEA there will most likely be more finds at random times when someone finds a random print in a mislabeled can or a collector discovers they hold a unique print. I also wonder/believe that the inner circle might be aware of a print(s) that is/are officially missing that, for what ever reason, cannot be officially recovered.
Expect the unexpected to me means something could be uncovered at anytime...and likley where nobody would expect it to be.
There will be more....

...The only thing that gets my interest is seeing Ian and Phil in the same room. That will definitely be a highlight. I do hope they have truly buried the hatchet, but it might also be like Beta fish... Just out of my own curiosity, i wish the final word (or definitive verdict) on the 10 not so missing, but unconfirmed film prints from Taiwan that Levine announced would be discussed. @ Douglas Wulf: I pray that you are right!!

Agreed Web 3 is most likely candidate for a recovery/announcement at present.
Expect the unexpected means to me "PM announces from Starbucks drive-through that Space Pirates ep 4 recovered from Bigfoot in Estonia."
I highly doubt anything will surface at the event or even later tied to the event. My gut feeling is we will receive a new trove of new information, teasers, and vague statements to sift through and discuss.

Expect the unexpected.
I don't expect anything to be unveiled, therefore it would be unexpected. Kinda a "do they know that i know that they know" sorta scenario. Someday, when they fine-toothed comb being ran over the globe is complete, a great book could be written about TIEA exploits.
I'm crossing my fingers, but not expecting too much. Would love to hear some first hand accounts from any members of this panel who have the opportunity to attend.

Im also curious as to how all his work is funded. There must be significant costs in doing this work on top of the need to earn a living. This has always puzzled me. TIEA must cost quite a bit, travel, incidentals, shipping, changing of storage mediums, etc... quite an outlay of cash, with little (visible) revenue. Even a non-profit, it doesn't seem to balance. Im of the mind that PM is doing fine not even counting the settlement from the Nigerian incident. I believe there is more going on behind the scenes, not just with funding, but with strategic management of his work. PM is doing incredible work, I tip my hat at the efforts and firmly believe there will be great things forthcoming. Kudos to all who work tirelessly in hard conditions to help recover and preserve the past.

Where did we hear that he dug up films in a desert? I know that some were dumped. I know that he may have researched it, but where did we hear he "dug up" m.soundcloud.com/fantompublishing on a thread started 12/26/2016 "a new interview with Phil Morris" As far as I know its the only place he is on record about 'digging up rubbish dumps'

Where did we hear that he dug up films in a desert? I know that some were dumped. I know that he may have researched it, but where did we hear he "dug up" Trying to find a link for you. PM said in a recorded interview months back that he was told of a desert location with potentially favorable conditions where a station had dumped old films and buried them. I believe the interview stated his team went in the middle of the night to excavate, but no word on what if anything was found. I got the impression that nothing of substance was recovered.

Here's to hoping the desert sands yielded treasure! As to the Fantom event, crossing fingers for PM to at least give us a trove of clues, tidbits, and points to mull over... things to discuss. Hoping it will be recorded (possibly transcribed) for those across the pond. I wonder if PM has considered carefully canned, prepared statements and a teleprompter knowing that each word will be dissected for content.

We do know he [Phil Morris] dug up a lot of Film Cans in the desert, but he has not mentioned if they were recoverable or what was in them. That info was in one of his radio interviews last year. I find it difficult to imagine burred films to be salvageable. No air, freeze thaw cycle, moisture, etc. If a cache of Dr Who prints were unearthed (literally) and found to be completely destroyed, would I want to know (rhetorical question for me)? I doubt they would hold up as well as Atari cartridges in New Mexico...but please, prove me wrong. My unrealistic hope is "found at BBC, old closet behind bookcase filled with lost 16 mm treasures."

I believe Phil's Indiana Jones post refers to one of the shelved ideas for the 5th Indiana Jones movie. In 2012 when Disney bought Lucas Film, I remember reading in an article that part of the deal, besides the unused concepts for Star Wars were unused concepts for Indiana Jones, namely story treatments for a Bermuda Triangle script and a search for Atlantis script.
I would like to believe it is Dr Who related, but realistically I doubt it (I would LOVE to be wrong on this!).
