The Listings at the BFI site really need to be sorted. There are many listings for totp that no longer exists at the BBC. (Christmas 72 for one).
Are they in the BFI vaults, or not?

I see that BBC4 are missing out the apparently 'Wiped' edition from 10/02/1977.
There has been speculation for a few years that this exists in the BBC archive in Broadcast Quality.
Does anyone know either way for sure?

That's from german tv's 'Disco'. Can't really see the BBC paying another broadcaster when they can't even show their own stuff.

How about the goldmine of performances on the Basil Brush Show. There are still loads of episodes in the BBC archive to choose from. the '75 series has Pilot, Guys and Dolls, The Osmonds, Donny & Marie.....

Now if we could only find the BBC documentation as to what was sent out that would be a goldmine of information

Thanks Brett for those show listings. I agree that there are problably more totp or other UK show clips in there to be discovered.

It seems that most of this series survives in the archive except 2 or 3 editions. It ran from 1969-1972 Some more artists featured are: Picketywitch, The Kinks, The Who, Slade, Peter Sarstedt, Christie, Blue Mink, Cliff Richard, Mungo Jerry, Shirley Bassey, The Carpenters, New Seekers, Bee Gees, Deep Purple, Gary Glitter, Michael Jackson......

Just stumbled across an austrailian music tv show from the 60's called 'Hitscene.' Most of the clips are from homegrown artists but there are some others on there aswell. While watching one edition (8th November 1969), which has been re-broadcast over there on Rage recently they showed The Kinks - Wonderboy. This was from 'top of the pops'. Up till now afaik there was only one source for this clip which i believe was the Dutch tv archive. My obvious question is how many of these shows are there and did they use any other totp inserts in their shows?
Any Austrailian members here that maybe can shine any light on this status of this archive or have any memories of this show?

I emailed them.. their rate is £68.40 for a DVD of one reel.. They're supplied watermarked with their logo and timecoded. That's a bit steep for me so I'll leave it, but if anyone else is interested, get in contact with them at www.huntleyarchives.com/index.phpand for the right price you could have a copy of this Move video. I just checked (as Ray did too I'm sure) their online search engine for 60s music in general - haven't seen anything that stuck out as being missing but might be worth others having a look in case they see anything else of interest. £68 for one video is a little beyond my budget aswell, still love to see this and hopefully someone with deeper pockets may someday bring this gem to a wider audience.
