Goodbye dear Deborah. The best screamer in the series. Hope. More of your episodes will soon be recovered. 69 is too young. I'm 63

And my random number was ..... 19. So if 15 is Mission then 19 is Myth Makers 4! Oh I'd love to see that again. It all seemed so rushed and little confusing. And then suddenly Vicki is in love ?!? and left behind by the Doctor and Steven. Oh and Katarina is with them in the Tardis! At the time I didn't think much of the Myth Makers so it would be nice to see it again.

Before I generate a random number I'd like to say this will get interesting when the same number episode is generated more than once. (In reality it won't mean anything but it will be interesting - but only if the number is genuinely generated randomly) This IS fun

I have not yet seen yesterday's episode of New Who as I'm on holiday. From what I've read it will be interesting to see how Moffat will close out his version of Who. When I hinted that there may be hidden clues I was jesting, having fun. I think one reason this forum's moderators get annoyed with rumours is because often they are based on false assumptions. I strongly suspect that the current production crew no nothing of Phil Morris's efforts and so could not lace episodes with "clues". But if I'm wrong, what if they will announce Capaldi's replacement with THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! It has been hinted that this time things will different and Capaldi's will regenerate into David Tennant...... What if...? Rumours are dangerous!

New Who is a good programme but it isn't Doctor Who. That ended when Patrick Troughton left. And still too many of his and Hartnell's episodes are missing. But is Mr Moffat trying to offer us any clues in New Who by bringing back Mondasian Cyber men and the "First" Doctor? Has Tenth Planet 4 been found? Nah. Too much to hope for

it certainly appears to imply that. But, like many others, what is actually meant the unexpected. I don't want to re-ignite the omni rumour (I KNOW NOTHING) but I don't ever EXPECT all remaining missing episodes to be recovered but I do live in eternal hope. I'd like tom think the long, long delay in announcing anything is that the only episode now missing is episode 3 of Web. When that is finally recovered the Big Announcement will be made. It won't happen but that would be truly unexpected to me. I remain hopefully optimistic. I just wish it would happen soon.

I didn't see him fall. When broadcast the end of part 4 was very quick and at the time a bit baffling.

Following the Animated Power DVD many of us have been trying to speculate what might happen next. Being pragmatic I feel we will be lucky if we get another animation (Probably Evil) and extremely lucky to get a third (Masterplan?) but beyond that I am not optimistic. However I have a radical idea to compromise completing the Story of Doctor Who. A way forward might be to animate a scene or two from each of the missing STORIES. That way the Complete Story of Doctor Who could be told and sold on DVD or as broadcast programme. That's not very clear. I'll try to clarify. By combining clips from existing STORIES combined with animated excerpts we could experience full story in sequence. The whole could be linked by voice over dialogue from Carole Ann Ford or David Bradley (I suspect William Russell may be getting too old?)
Disc 1: Introduction. Scenes from Unearthly Child, Rest of Stone Age story represented by torch fight from The Firemaker. The travellers meet the Daleks for the first time, The Doctor's epic speech from Brink of Disaster, Final sword fight between Marco and Tegana from Marco Polo (Animated).......Transformation scene from end of Tenth Planet 4 (animated) Bonus features:- Complete Unearthly Child episode, The Missing episode Story - Documentary (Part 1) Disc 2:- Introduction. Complete regeneration scene from Power (Animated), Jamie enters Tardis at end of Highlanders 4 (Animated).......The Doctor faces the Time Lord court at end of War Games part 10 Bonus feature:- Regeneration documentary, The episode story - Documentary (Part 2)
If Doctor Who had all it's episodes intact in 2013 this would have made an excellent 50th Anniversary DVD summarising all broadcast STORIES. It could still be made as I've suggested and released in July 2019 or January 2020 to celebrate 50th Anniversary of the broadcast of Hartnell/Troughton era. Similar releases could be made for subsequent Doctors but without having to animate anything. So, my challenge is what sequence would you animate from a completely missing story to represent it? Arrival/departure of a companion? Finale of the story? Only one sequence per missing story (NOT episode) most or all of the story must be missing so Marco Polo but not French Resistance, Masterplan but not Moonbase. I'm sure this idea will be controversial but think. If this DVD were made and sold well then by seeing an animated sequence might, just might lead to more animations or better still recover actual episodes! Give it a whirl.

Being logical and rational the follow-up to Power needs to sell well to give hope of a third animation and that means most probably the Daleks again, possibly Cybermen and outside runners Yeti. Of the two Dalek stories Evil is the most exciting and would appeal to the general public and that's very critical to the whole animation project. Hopefully that may give the green light to Masterplan. After that...who knows? I make these predictions having seen most missing episodes On original broadcast. I am never sure why Fury is so popular. My memory is of a slow, muddly dull story whose soundtrack sounds more exciting than the broadcast story. Sorry. Well that's my six penn'oth

There's a lot of speculation about Terry Nation here. Has anybody asked his estate,Beryl Virtue or even dear David Attenborough for their recollections of the Dalek project? Or even if any of them have any missing episodes?

I believe this amusing interlude is NOT from the sixties but much later, the nineties and was made for A Day in the Sixties in particular the Lime Grove story

I've done door knocking a long time ago collecting for a charity. It is an exhausting and some what fruitless task which is why in England it has largely disappeared. I personally would never do it again . The better bet as already suggested is to approach schools colleges and particularly universities. In 1973 I studied at Plymouth Polytechnic. They had their own tv studio and video taping equipment. Then a few years ago I had a couple of work colleagues who worked in the evenings at a local college of further education. One morning they were talking about having just dumped a load of old college videos into a skip..... When I asked them what was on the tapes they said they hadn't a @#$&%ing clue and cared even less. So I had no chance to investigate further.... I doubt any thing from the 60s would be held at these esteemed seats of learning but you never know. And Doctor Who has tended to be popular with students.

We have had special editions of quite a few totally complete existing stories. Ifthey were commercially viable I'd like to hope if the real episode were found then special editions would become available. That is if DVDs are in vogue. Look at the history of Underwater Menace

I live in hope that episode 4 of Tenth Planet will be found only because I find it odd that the first, 3 episodes exist. Someone must have conclusively known what happened to it. As for Power.... We must optimistically dream but yes, chances are low. However I do remain optimistic. I am nearly 63 and through my life I have lost, missed or never owned certain things from my childhood in the 1960's.Books, music, comic's, toys..... TV programmes..... But now thanks to things like republishing, and the Internet I now own or re-own many of the items. Things like comic strip - the Phantom Patrol, the Purple Cloud, certain Rupert annuals from 1936 - 19.86, bubblegum cards are now complete in my collections. Even Dads of childhood programmes like Space Paatrol etc are now in my collections. One day I aim to completey Doctor Who stories. Just missing 96 odd episodes so live in hope!
