Ah Ronnie nice to hear from you after all this time. Perhaps you could tell us what became of the tapes? Did you sell them in the end of do you still have them?

It was nothing more than hype. The claim that the stuff destroyed was worth £5 million seems very far fetched and no doubt hasn't been independently verified by an auction house. I doubt if there was much in the fire other than a few old t shirts and posters that could easily be reproduced

You don't need a video to accompany a sound track. If you use windows movie maker you can overlay a sound track to just one photo. It's very easy once you know how. Just set the length of time the photo will be displayed to match the length of the audio track. Better on YouTube where it can be easily accessed in my opinion.😁

I haven't heard it-very noisy at home at present! Apparently,he's got a lot more material gathered together, which needs sorting through? I believe so, include some that were literally dug up ... using a JCB!!! Yes loved the JCB story. I just wonder when we will hear what he has recovered (apart from Who) as we never seem to get proper details of this. Also how is all this searching and recovery work being funded. Can't be cheap to do all this Work. There really is a good documentary to be made about this.

Any idea why they have gone from showing 1 episode a week to 2 episodes a week?

Interesting to see that clip. It seems in very good shape, shame about the framing though. I wonder if the poster has the whole show

To be honest in this situation I'd be happier to know that it was in the hands of a collector than left in Africa somewhere. At least then it is likely to be looked after properly. This biggest risk now is that its left in Africa and gets lost, destroyed, dumped or mistreated and turns to vinegar in the can

thanks for the tip off, just watched this on iplayer. Really good compilation. One thing thats obvious is how heavily they draw on TOTP'S for these compilations. Its certainly not going to be as easy to do this sort compilation in the future for current bands

At Last the 1948 Show (1967) Following the BFI’s rediscovery of two episodes of the much-loved and highly influential comedy series, At Last the 1948 Show last year a member of the public has come forward with a further two episodes
I hope there will be more details about the return. Fantastic find

Bought this DVD on eBay, watched the lot then sold it back on eBay for the same price. I found the episodes really entertaining, I just wish the missing episodes would turn up
