I think the problem with so many threads and rumours been resurrected or Frankensteined is that the majority is coming from new members to the forum. They may have been around for ages until joining up or complete newbies to missing tv as a whole which if you put into perspective is understandable for someone completely new to say Dr Who. This makes it very difficult to weed out which is genuine discussion from new or old members and hyped up red cordial "I've made a connection!" syndrome.
There needs to be a fine balance between yes resurrecting old threads for re-evaluation and just blatant wringing and old sock out till its completely dry.
Q: can we please do better than this? A: it's over to you the members and public.

A: it's over to you the members and public. A lot of the resurrected threads could actually be started as new. It just looks bizarre to see a gap of say four years for example between posts on the same thread. I guess one solution might be to lock or delete old threads after a certain time span but that said nobody forces anyone to read the `resurrections.`

I'm happy the new younger members are taking an interest in the old posts.
I see nothing wrong with them reviving if they have an idea or need understanding.
However it is also a good idea to revive in moderation focusing on the areas of most value

However it is also a good idea to revive in moderation focusing on the areas of most value Exactly no one is trying to discourage new members or gatekeep.....but all this behaviour is being generated by one person.....and never has anything to add it's is either recycling a rumour or stating evidence either regurgitated from another post or from wiped or something and never......adds to it. One or two is tolerable but multiple times a week..if you look back you see the tone of replies go from encouragement to coaching to guiding to indifference and eventually frustration. I myself should probably chill out about its not my job to police these threads. What does worry me though is as people grt annoyed and tempers fray things get said that them ends up getting threads locked or deleted and with it valuable discussion and insight is lost amoung and the pigeon stinky plops. So I'm just asking Angle to think and breathe before peddling anymore snake oil.
