After reviewing the auctions, at the moment, I'm prepared to believe that this is genuine and that the seller does have Flight Through Eternity and other episodes (though not necessarily missing - the missing episodes discussion was first brought up by fans). However, there is something unusual about the situation and it should be interesting to see what happens when the auction ends. If it ends successfully with the buyer leaving positive feedback, I will be prepared to believe it, especially as the seller seems prepared to allow the buyer to pay in person, but I have a feeling the auction might end prematurely or be won by another new user (if you see what I'm implying...).

It has been several days since the seller listed anything else, is he likely to list anything. Also there have been no bids on the Snows of Terror and the Search, is no one interested? Oh and some fool has bid on the picture lot of 1p even though the description clearly says not to!!!

"DUE TO INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM THE OTHER FILMS OPENING FRAMES, THE REMAINING REELS WILL NOW BE EXAMINED BY AN APPROPRIATE EXPERT AND PROPERLY IDENTIFIED. I HAVE BEEN ADVISED NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TO ARRANGE ANY PUBLIC VIEWING OF THESE MATERIALS." - from the auction description.
Now is it just me, or does that sound like he may have looked at the episode titles and discovered something interesting from our point of view?
Stuart (losing his usual cynicism, but sure he'll regret it later)

What was that I said in my previous post? "I will be prepared to believe it, especially as the seems prepared to allow the buyer to pay in person" and "I bet one of the next few episodes turns out to be a missing episode and they'll be very keen to pretend they don't realise or they'll just go quiet". Hah! I now say it's a hoax!

if you go to the guy's shop page who bid on the auction that is just the pictures he is a guy who makes framed film cells ha ha ha, wouldn't that be funny if he bought missing episodes.

Has anyone contacted the seller to see when he is listing the rest of his episodes, and if he has arranged for a private screening of the episodes?

Scott J :
If you look at the original questions and answers on the " Flight Through Eternity " auction listing, you will see that the seller states that he has been advised NOT to show the film pubic ally. As to when he lists the other episodes, I would think that he would wait for the current film prints to sell. And then see what price to start the bidding for the other film prints that he possesses. It strikes me as interesting that since he is not listing the other films, then he could of found out that he has something that is missing ! Lets hope that he will loan the film to the BBC if he does have some missing material. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Lance.

Look what was posted at the bottom of the " Flight Through Eternity " auction listing : "digital camera now obtained pictures will be added tomorrow morning from a screening of this and other reels of the other films at a private home cinema with 16mm facilities..... ". Maybe the other pictures of the remaining reels will appear shortly.

Correct, but in a question asked he said that he would be organising a showing when he gets some time.

Wait just a minute - I'm the cynical one. You're supposed to be the eternal optimist Stuart ;D I usually am open-minded and willing to trust, but only until things start to smell rotten. I now think this smells rotten. I'll keep following it out of interest, but I honestly think it's a hoax (but please prove me wrong!).

Correct, but in a question asked he said that he would be organising a showing when he gets some time. He did, but now he's saying that he's been advised not to show them to anyone, which is part of the reason why I think it's a hoax - making promises that will prove he has the prints, but then backing out with some lame excuse.

Maybe if he asked for official permission from the BBC to have a showing of his material, possibly with BBC representatives, or Steve Roberts. He would be the best person for the job on this matter. Any thoughts on this idea ?
Thanks, Lance.

And then, all of a sudden, all of the sellers episode auctions are pulled...
