Could Hong Kong and Singapore hold missing episodes?

Is it possible that Hong Kong and Singapore could still contain missing episodes or is it confirmed that they no longer have them?

I would never say "it's confirmed 100%" but I know Hong Kong has definitely been searched. There's a chance but these are both tiny countries.

You forget the fact that Singapore is an incredibly crowded & space restricted city state. The chances of there being a derelict film archive hanging around like in Nigeria are about zero. It would have been pulled down & built over years ago. Plus the studios were relocated from Caldecott Hill to a new location in 2015. The old studios were flattened & a housing estate built on the site. If there was anything interesting left in cupboards at the old studios at closure then theey are now gone forever.

Singapore a lovely place and well worth visiting if you are ever passing through Asia, and the people are very friendly.

The films were bicycled on anyway. WOF & EOTW being examples of this. Where they ended up is what we pin our hopes upon. The idea of a motherlode of films (not only Who) ending up in a warehouse 'at the end of the trail' somewhere in Africa is tantalising.

The TV stations in Hong Kong and Singapore that aired DW no longer exist. They got bought out and merged with other media companies decades ago.

Also, the studio complexes of both RTV and RTS were long ago demolished. Any assets such as old 16mm films still held then would have been disposed of at that time.

so who finished/sent their prints on first Singapore or Hong Kong

regarding Hong Kong for all we know the 1987 fire could have wiped out what stray prints that been retained (by accident)/or not sent on.

i mean the existing prints of Tomb Of The Cybermen (returned from HK in 1991) maybe Hong Kong's original Tomb prints were gone by one of the above factors, they could have been rescued from the 87 fire, or maybe after the fire another set (maybe Singapores?) was located but they were unaware of its missing status until they were eventually returned.

It would be very very lucky if any misplaced Dr Who prints were still in the archives before both Singapore/Hong Kong's 'then archives' finally closed their doors.

The Singapore studios at Caldecott Hill seem to have survived until late 2020!

CBC was a much bigger organisation than RTV and RTS. From the accounts of the 1987 fire, RTV's operation was confined to a small number of buildings all in the same complex.
