Intriguing that they say "never before seen clips of colourised Doctor Who". So I will be interested to see what stories the clips are from and how well colourisations turn out to be.

Agreed could be interesting. I like that you actually read and understood unlike the butthurt comments from other people haha Maybe these are clips from a full episode that could be released for the 60th? Who knows?

Whether it's just clips or part of a larger project, the thing the Mirror reported on or something else entirely, I am curious to see the results. It's not going to be for everyone but anything that gets eyes on 60s Who is a plus in my eyes especially for younger fans who may struggle with black and white content.

Some colourisations turn out to be alright. For example Stuart Humpreys , Keiran Highman, Richard Tipple and quite a few of them and some of the auto colourisations of whole serials on internet archive and bitchute are alright in a fuzzy off air type way especially all the Dalek episodes they have - which is all of them. Type in google: Doctor Who in color internet archive the daleks Those are just autocolour program created for purpose by a pair of computer programers. The colourisations of Stuart Humphrey aka Babelcolour on YouTube are awesome.

I’m only messing. I find it quite funny how angry people on this site get about the smallest things. Apparently if they had it their way we would solely talk about missing episodes which means this site would end because there would never be anything to talk about other than retreading old ground. No more episodes out there Just trying to bring you guys what I think is interesting news regarding Classic Who that you may not have seen so that you can be informed and excited but nope you start immediately finding ways to poop on it haha. Lovely stuff

I don't think anyone has issue of the news (about more fan-colourised clips). The issue is that the thread title you created was misleading and clickbaity.

Yes, the title of this thread is a bit misleading, especially as it has been mentioned on twitter about another project to be announced very soon, and No it is NOT missing episode related, but it is exciting to know another project is on the way for us. Fingers crossed for the Toymaker animation.
I think if you change the title from
Colourised 60’s Who Confirmed!
to
Colourised 60’s Who Confirmed?

I don't think anyone has issue of the news (about more fan-colourised clips). The issue is that the thread title you created was misleading and clickbaity. 100% it's not what you shared its the way you shared it. A Title like, "Colourisation clips to be shown at bfi" Or "missing beleived wiped to feature Colourisation clips this year" would of generated a general positive conversation about the project. You'd still get the odd "not for me keep them in black and white" but the majority of the conversation would of been around what clips what eps whose doing ect. The title make sit sound like a full blown colour episode project is imminently dropping. And to be honest I think you can see that and are now pushing back on the people that have pointed that out because you feel a bit silly. Last bit is just my opinion and observation

Lovely stuff You're still missing the point - the issue here isn't about colourising, or what may or may not be out there, or whether this is interesting or not. It's about communication and it wouldn't be such an issue if you just took the feedback onboard gracefully. There's a lot of hysteria in the world of Doctor Who and missing episodes - jumping to conclusions, people so optimistic that they start talking about hunches as fact, etc. Many people are very tired and weary of poor communication, reading into things where there is nothing to read, people making things seem what they are not. Things have gotten out of hand before, and will no doubt do so again. You may have done it inadvertently, but multiple people have pointed out.

There was also a completely separate announcement (buried in the new Target book information) seemingly confirming there is another animation in the works. A lot of scattered information that we'll have to wait and see how it all gets pieced together. There definitely is brand new Doctor Who colourisations confirmed and I very much doubt it would be getting a public screening without some sort of BBC approval. What we don't know is the purpose or scope of the project (I'm sure we all remember The Wheel in Space incident).

And don’t worry fellas I won’t post anymore news on this website. Maybe you’ll find out about it elsewhere or something

I’d much related they clean them up as best they can and put the colourisation money into animations for missing episodes or to hire the SAS to recover the missing episodes in private hands 🤔😁😁

Saying that, there is a colourisation of the last few moments of episode 10 of the War Games which is absolutely stunning as it uses 35mm B/W footage which makes it look as it's from Season 7! I love Scott Telfer's clarity which makes sense of Jake's initial post. Some outside studio perhaps producing content for a future blu-ray release perhaps?Either way it sounds exciting and I can't wait for the results!
