Yet, on the Marco Polo Ep 1 set we clearly see the caption 'The Roof Of The World' was distorted on the actual transmission. What's the answer? That would be the television rather than the caption. Areas of high-contrast on old sets would sometimes cause straight lines to become bowed in one direction. It was the nature of the electronics used back then.

Thought it might be something like that. A quick check of the other telesnaps from Marco Polo reveals the remaining captions look pretty straight.

Is there a way to purchase this special individually across the ocean? Let me know if you're struggling to get hold of one and I'll see if I can post you a copy,

I too very much enjoyed the new DWM special and seeing the telesnaps in such great condition.
I do have one gripe however. I do wish they wouldn't put captions and particularly headings over photos, especially when they're illustrating missing episodes. The telesnaps are all presented perfectly, but some of the other images used are obscured by text. In particular, there's a shot from DMP (presumably from Coronas of the Sun) featuring Sara Kingdom that I don't recall ever seeing before but unfortunately the end of a heading almost completely obscures it!

IT'S A SHOT TAK.... sorry... It's shot taken during rehearsals. In this case, it's episode six: it's outside the SPAR spaceship (or is it the Dalek one?) on the planet Mira.

Anyone know anywhere in Melbourne, Australia that are selling these?
I know there are some on ebay, but I'd prefer to buy it from a shop if possible.

Not sure Steven, assume you've tried Minotaur. I'm in Melbourne and would like to grab a copy too from a shop. DWM used to be at many larger newsagents, but seems to have disappeared from many. Assuming specials can be ordered on demand, but haven't tried this yet.

Yes, I tried Minotaur last week. They were selling regular issues of DWM but not the Missing Episodes Special.
Perhaps it was too early - I might try again later this week. I'll let you know if I find any.
