Who is this Rob Moss person? Is he the guy that commented on the people who took pictures of Doctor Who off the telly in the 60s and not about pictures of Doctor Who off the telly in the 60s? And are there any pictures of him..? None that are safe for this forum.

George. There is a difference between an off-air photograph and a telesnap. A telesnap has to be taken by John Cura otherwise it is just an off-air photograph. Didn't he devise a unique camera system?

I have another lot of questions to ask which unless I have missed something should be my last. 1. According to themissingepisodenexus.blogspot.com/p/image-gallery.html two of the Marco Polo images are from Episode 6. Is this the case? 2. Someone mentioned Antony Howe (who helped find the Marco Polo images) was in the top left hand picture on this website- home.iprimus.com.au/dallasljones/Dr%20Who%20Gallery.html. Is this true? If so which person is he? 3. Were the Chris Thompson, Gordon Lengden and Terry Reason images returned by their owners or were they discovered like in the case on the Marco Polo images? When were these images recovered? Were they all taken in England? 4. Have any of the off-air images been published in any other magazines other than those mentioned in the original post or NATEOTL Issue 3? 5. If somebody has them to hand could they upload a whole page scan of the Evil Of The Daleks images from DWM 200, Marco Polo images from DWB 57, The Daleks’ Master Plan images from DWB 50 and The Daleks’ Master Plan images from the DWB Compendium? 6. Does anybody know where I can find an image of Terry Reason? 7. Several people have mentioned other off-air photographs from existing episodes such a The Invasion, The Wheel In Space and Tomb Of The Cybermen. Does anyone know any more about these or any other off-air photos from existing episodes? Thank you all once again for all the help.

Another query that popped into my mind is why won't those who know tell us which broadcast the Marco Polo episodes came from?

Yes. I initially believed they were all from episode 7 but it turns out two of them were from episode 6. I'm not sure if this was always known or whether the tele-snap discovery confirmed this. 5. If somebody has them to hand could they upload a whole page scan of the Evil Of The Daleks images from DWM 200, Marco Polo images from DWB 57, The Daleks’ Master Plan images from DWB 50 and The Daleks’ Master Plan images from the DWB Compendium? My site (the one you linked to above) has the DMP7 and Marco Polo images, unless there are other images I'm unaware of (I've never read those magazines).

Okay. I was always in the belief that they all came from episode 7 but I suppose we will never know for certain (unless the episodes are found). Does anyone know anything about the other questions?

Okay. I was always in the belief that they all came from episode 7 but I suppose we will never know for certain ... Um - the telesnaps and on-set photos show that those attributed to part 6 are indeed from part 6. The only one there is some uncertainty about, is the shot of Hartnell smiling. There's no telesnap that matches it.

Yes. That "someone" was me. I think (but not 100% certain) he's the man at left, with glasses and moustache, hand to mouth. The DMP and MP photos you refer to are the ones you've linked to in question 1.

Thanks Jon. I was just wondering if anyone had the actual publications to hand because I would quite like to see the relevant text but never mind.

Upon reading NATEOTL Issue 3 I saw that there was another off-air photograph from TWIS that has not been mentioned on here and was published in the 8mm Magazine in 1968. Why wasn't this mentioned in WIPED? Are there any other similar photographs from Peter Dean? (I know he doesn't have the original clip but does he have other photographs?

Upon reading NATEOTL Issue 3 I saw that there was another off-air photograph from TWIS that has not been mentioned on here and was published in the 8mm Magazine in 1968. Why wasn't this mentioned in WIPED? Probably because Richard Molesworth didn't know about it. No.

Another query I have is that in NATEOTL Issue 3 you says that Terry Reasons images are from Episode 4 and 5 (which isn't what is said by WIPED!). Which images are from which episodes?

The one on the left is from Episode 4, the one on the right is from Episode 5.
You can check them yourself against the tele-snaps on the BBC website.

Thanks Richard. It is absolutely incredible how many off-air photographs are so similar to the tele-snaps.
