The hunt and the desire will never end but for me the Omni rumor has been over now for 20 days. No more running to Mondas or Gallifrey or what ever missing episode forum to check out the latest reports from the rumoroloigists . Ill just wait for an official announcement. I am tired of going off and reading that "Its all good" and "Good things are coming". When a good thing arrives Ill be happy and cheer with every one else but I am threw reading the words or the rumor mongers. Better things to do with my time like building model space ships. I rediscovered an old hoppy an have ben having an absolute blast with the amount of free time that I now have. Of course being spring on the weekend I need to tend to the outside of the house but during the work week I am free to build away Hi Bob. Unlike the Cybermen, you abandoned Mondas too soon. The missing eps thread on Tues and Weds over there make very interesting reading, Ian Levine was there and I have to say that when he tones it down, he has a lot of interest to say (just like Charles D who has joined this thread). I am sure there are some good posts over there don't get me wrong. But I am done waking up to find thee are 22 or more pages of endless dribble over there. Some one posts they don't believe in the Omni rumor and they are attacked. They then counter attack and so on and so on. I will agree when Ian is calm he is very interesting and very knowledgeable . So he has broken his "silence" after he would day no more after the Taiwan cock up. Some people just need to see there name in print I guess. It just goes against all common sense to announce a "find" be it redundant film prints and give interviews about it with out having seen a single photograph of said episodes. Ian did a lot to recover episode's in the 70's and 80's and he has been thanked and re thanked thousands of times over the years for it.

You are right in what you say Bob about the mind sets of some but read the last few days posts - there is some very illuminating stuff which sheds light on what Phil M is grappling with at the BBC and a whole load of other stuff I'm not going to repeat here.
Trust me, there are no bitter and twisted rants from Ian and the other contributors manage to be nice to each other for the best part of 48 hours.
Taiwan came about because of a misjudged rush to score a point against TIEA and show how a recovery is done. That's all I'm going to say and I don't condone the very personal attacks I've seen made on various interested parties in the missing eps search made a while ago by somebody but he has a lot of interest to say about the history of the show, it's missing episodes and its administration.

Ian is very smart and intelligent. If you were around in the early 1980's when I was a teenager you will know that we used to flock to read his letters and posts in fanzines and magazines back them. His letters and articles where intelligently written and well received by fans all around the world who were watching the series back then (U.K., Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand). But after the death of John Nathan-Turner Ian emerged and that is when he began to change (in my opinion of course for the worse) If I were a fireman or a policemen and had saved your life as child, would you want constant reminding of the event 20 years later?
Ian did great thing in the past. But let those in the present do it there way as the world has changed. IF there is more to come then they will come, if not then they wont come. I just don't believe that PM and the BBC are engaged in a secret plot to keep episode's a secret

I have just deleted what I would describe as "a right load of old cobblers". Please stay on topic...

When Phil Morris stops saying "expect the unexpected" and instead says "that's all folks", then it's over. Until then, I will wait and see if anything else turns up. In the meantime, I'll keep on enjoying Enemy and Web.

I have just deleted what I would describe as "a right load of old cobblers". Please stay on topic... I'm not actually sure that the topic can produce much else. One can look to more 'milestones' or significant dates-everything from William Hartnell's birthday to the second Tuesday after Epiphany, but when nothing happens there are always more possible-I don't say probable-dates on the horizon.

Illuminating stuff like... Cabals of teenagers playing Scooby Doo in secret rumour groups? Charles Daniels making up BS about Planet of Giants ep4? Self appointed idiots messing with TIEA? Children worshipping rumour mongers? No offence to you Simon but the behaviour on 'the forums' is sad, childish and delusional.

The time I admit it's over is either when I have every frame of Doctor Who ever broadcast sitting on a digital medium I purchased legally so that the proper people get their share of the money or when I die - whichever comes last. :-)

When will we admit it's over?
When we have all 97 episode back. Otherwise what are we all doing here on this forum?

The search will go on, how ever the rumor that 90+ episodes recovered and ready for release on I tunes and DVD is dead in my books. The rumoroligists had there fun but play time is over.
I really hope to see more episodes recovered but I don't see 90 + at once which is what they were preaching to us for months and months and months. . . .
