Some scenes are too long (particularly the Sensorites advancing on the companions in the beginning). And the ending was anti-climatic for antagonist Sensorite, and we don't get to see his final scene. They just say he's been defeated. I do appreciate the attempts to add character to Susan though. I loved her scenes. I find that 6 episodes in many B/W stories are very padded ! Polo i think as a historical will also suffer from this ! I've been unable to sit through Marco Polo. There are scenes I adore, but there was too much dragging of the feet. Aztecs was the best historical that season.

One of the great things about Marco is that the Doctor and his companions are at the mercy of the elements,as well as being tricked into having no water by Tegana. The audio also lacks the ability to see the beautiful sets and costumes which would have greatly enhanced this story.Agonizing to think that this is one of the major stories rumoured to have been found and has an imminent release,so if it is a hoax then it's a cruel one!

I love Marco Polo, I actually find once you get into the story it carries you well enough to get through. My only point of contention is the almost bi-polar attitude Marco has towards the travellers from episode to episode.
I have the Sensorites and The Web Planet to watch as I've never seen either story before. Found Web Planet 1 a bit of a strain to get through, especially Hartnell's trouble with his lines.

Does it help in ANY way?

Oh Web 1 is nothing ... be prepared for the awesome thrill of episode 2-6! Honestly let us know what you think once you're done XD

have to say i love Marco Polo , its a story that builds up episode by episode to a supposedly ominous confrontation with Kubhlai Khan, and then pulls the rug out ! , ild love to see the campy sounding meetings between Hartnell and the Khan

I can imagine a kid back then wanting action and got 7 weeks of this would of turned them off a bit.

Given that Gibraltar is a likely source of the Taiwan prints, and that Gibraltar was sent MP 1-7 which are unaccounted for, those particular prints of MP may be the best bet of turning up.

Yes, and i would also be interested in weather A/S and W/I/S were found with the other two in Nigeria ? As its really hard to believe in much at the moment !

But your Issues just continue to stir an already well stirred pot.. and has quickly become "the same old stuff" that you want to avoid talking about

On a lot of past evidence, the Nigerians don't have much of a track record of throwing anything away. They are the source of more complete stories being returned than of any other broadcaster (probably more than any other broadcasters put together). It's not 100% clear exactly what the building in Jos where PM found the others, is. Relay station/tv station or just storage place. However, regardless of which it was/is one would presume that the other stories would have been housed there at some point, and would therefore be around "somewhere" (given that the Nigerians do have that amazingly good track record of being hoarders).

If we dont talk about it then this board would be empty ! Every post nearly is a re-going over the same thing. So you are no different !!!

I think it was supposed to be where BPTV used to be and became a relay station of what came after BPTV. I think Paul V's view (and I can be corrected if I'm wrong) is that Abominable and Wheel (and likely Web 3) were sent back to Lagos where they were junked and it's blind luck that the nine missing eps that remained in Jos just didn't get junked.
