Well, intuition ! Common sense. Of all the eps Enemy 6. Its like saying i can match you. Whats your next hand ! I guess we will see very soon at this rate If you tell yourself something enough, you'll make it true in your eyes. Ian is clearly taking this opportunity to show PM that he is being open and telling people ASAP, rather than holding things back. Ian has said that, and the 9 episodes released in October were held back by PM. That is very clear and all we know. Any more is just a hypothetical situation. Of course there is that and i thank him very much for honesty. A shame others are not so

Well the Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt dissapeared from a beach in dec 1967. Perhaps he was a Who fan and got the Australian secret service to post episodes to his Taiwanese hideout?

Ian probably has no idea exactly what the situation with EotW/WoF was. All we can be certain about is that the prints were back in the UK by late April 2013 and the stories were released on completion of restoration less than 6 months later. Some of us - still grumbling about UM2 - had very little problem with that. If Ian had, hypothetically, recovered EotW6 a while ago there would have been two episodes from a 6 part story which would be insufficient to contemplate animation. There would be a massive clamour from (some) fan(atic)s demanding that it be released.....

Has anybody seen any evidence that the films ian claims to have found in Taiwan exist? At least Phil Morris has revealed what Who he has claimed to have found That is a valid question.

I don't think it should even enter peoples' minds that he is making all of this up. It would send the rep of who is still the biggest confirmed finder of Dr Who straight down the toilet. If Ian says he has found these specific dupes, then tbh, I think we ALL need to believe he has.

What are you talking about? Ian Levine has revealed what he has found as well. The recovery of the first five episodes has been backed up by Paul Vanezis, I'd say his word is pretty much the best confirmation you can get. The other five were only identified a couple of days ago so we'll need to wait and see.

Agree scott ! The question left on the table is, has all of them been put on the table ?

All of Ian Levine's episodes are on the table unless he's found some more today in which case we'll hear about it tomorrow. They seem positive about this matter, so hopefully they'll be able to track down more collectors in the area and find more episodes which will figure out where they came from or even better give us a brand new episode.

Jaspal my thoughts exactly. Poker my friend ! I'm the guy who put Ian and Paul in contact with the person in Taiwan and now that he's come forward publicly I'll give some more background. Keith is a radio presenter and producer, originally from Canada, who has worked around the world -mostly in shortwave radio, and has been based in Asia for the past 15 years or so. He's lived in Taiwan for a few years where he now owns a small English language radio station and has founded an independent shortwave station and radio production company called PCJ. I came across as a result of my own interest in shortwave radio when Keith revived something called the Happy Station Show, a light entertainment show that originally ran on shortwave out of Holland from 1928 until 1995. On his version of the show, Keith aired an eclectic array of music and interviews but also archival radio recordings which he'd acquired over the years in his travels. I became his Facebook friend and one time when he mentioned his collecting I asked him if by chance he'd ever picked up any Doctor Who episodes in his travels. He said he had but he didn't know the names of the actual episodes and taking time away from his various work and projects to going across town to sort through what I imagine is a largely uncatalogued collection of boxes didn't seem to be a priority for him. About a year later, after the Nigerian discoveries hit the news, I brought it up again and then got into contact with Ian since I thought with his backg;round as a music producer he'd be better able to establish a rapport with Keith than I was (Keith hosts or has hosted several music shows on the radio and has fairly eclectical musical interests and in my mind I thought Keith might be interested in interviewing Ian on some aspect of his career and that in exchange Ian would be able to persuade Keith to sort through his material in storage and find out what he actually had Doctor Who wise, if anything - I had suspected they might be reels of one of the Peter Cushing films but thought it was worth pursuing just in case). Anyway, my point is, Keith is for real. He mostly collects audio and he's put some of it up on one of his pages here: pcjmedia.com/archivesJust wanted to say well done Andy for doing the right thing by passing the lead on to someone experienced in these matters and not trying to be a hero by doing it all yourself and possibly screwing up. I would strongly advise anyone in a similar position to do likewise or they may find themsleves completely out of their depth. If anything missing does come to light Andy you will be given full credit for it.
