I think collectors are the best way for us to see the return more episodes from The Daleks Master Plan.

Just been listening to this guys blog on the tube. And was right last time. He say that 64,000 Cans have been found and polo and smugglers for a FEB release ! And i dont want to start a rumour ! Sounds like the 64,000 can rumour I'm trying to contemplate the size of room needed to store that many prints. Then there's the time required to actually check that many cans. Sounds like Brilliant Speculation to me. I don't suppose he mentioned which February ? 2041 might be appropriate

Roughly 400-800 square metres, depending on shelving type and layout But what's that in cubes? Strangely enough, we tend to calculate it in linear metres rather than cubic (or at least we do here in NZ with paper archives). Assuming you can fit 18 films on a shelf it works out to 3555 linear metres - then the room size is all down to type of shelving (static vs mobile) and how high the shelves go. So the floor area above is a pretty rough estimate.

Cold this winter ! Keep the fire burning You're hoping they're nitrate stock ? That would be less a fire, more an incendiary bomb. Seriously, nitrate stock burns like nobody's business. The fire in "The Artist" is nothing - in reality, that much nitrate stock on the floor (and we're only talking 5-6 reels) would have more or less burnt the house down in minutes. And ironically, I know people who would happily watch those episodes of Crossroads. All. Of. Them.

Yes, I hate to think of how long listing, checking and cleaning all of that would take. Maybe six months to a year just for the listing part, depending on the size of the team involved and how well labelled the cans are, couldn't even guess on the rest of the work (probably a lot longer!). On the bright side, old Doctor Who episodes have proven their economic worth with the EOTW and the WOF releases, so if they do have 64,000 cans of film any Doctor Who they found would probably be at the head of the queue as far as releases go.

I do hope so because by the time we get to the end i will be using my pension buying them lol
