I'm sorry. . But you dont go to all l that expense of tickets and then say we are changing the day. At this point, all I get out of rt is the iplayer launch which could include um2 as a new find. I don't trust mirror or bc which is what most appears based on. . I'm back in the pessamist column.. sorry. But in the great scheme of licence-fees,what does the price of a few custom-printed tickets matter to the BBC?

The point is if you printed up tickets, this was planned a while ago.
The other point is most of this is based on the mirror. The bbc just happened to have their iPlayer launch the same time.
Not enough evidence yet for me.

Um.Wouldn't the BBC have been pretty much obliged to issue a denial by now? You've got the Radio Times announcing to breathless millions that previously-lost episodes are going to be on sale.Wouldn't it reflect rather badly on the BBC if they allowed information such as this to be posted, knowing it to be untrue? Even the BBC couldn't be that inept. I hope.
In fact, some sort of damage-control should be exercised by now; either an denial,or a (non-specific) announcement.Either the cat was never in the bag,or its gotten out.
(Assuming third-parties agree,if necessary).

Hopefully a few more days then before all is revealed and everything crossed until then that the "all" stacks up at least in part with what I've been reading
Please post under a full real name please, as per forum rules (no handles). Thanks - Laurence.

The Guardian has picked up the story now. Though they presumably think it's about Dr Kildare ...

Damaged is what I've been led to believe also, hence the delays in releasing them, and some may not be released for some time to come because of the damage. But thinking about it,the imminent release on digital platforms of missing episodes is a highly innovative and fresh approach by the BBC to make them available to fans.Whatever may happen by the end of the week,it is ( was ) a good idea!

Interesting that the announcement appears to be a 'Who'centric event. No mention of the (very likely) bigger haul . If significant Beatles footage, Dad's Army episodes, TOTP etc had been found wouldn't they be incorporated into this event?
I can only assume that the BBC have plans for future announcements staggered over the next few weeks.
