I think you misunderstand. BBC Worldwide, would announce releases of archive programmes via DVD and iTunes.
Archive finds, is a tricky one, I've worked for the BBC proper (in the past) and either one make announcements.
So we could all be right!
I think Tuesday is news on two recovered episodes to go on iTunes, (would pay for later DVD release and RT clear up) and just maybe something else.
TBF, they made us wait months after anything was rumoured to have been found, just for the 50th.
But anything is better than nothing.

He'll be too busy at his Flat Earth Society meeting. Why the abuse? Because you are quite clearly trolling. You've asked the same question over and over again, despite it being answered many times. On other forums you describe yourself as agnostic, and aren't doing this. Your posts seem to be some kind of trolling attack against this forum and Outpost Gallifrey for some reason that I can't fathom. Where are the mods?

If it's a hoax, it's a bloody good one. If it's not we will all be happy, why do who fans have to be so fractious all the time.... 24 hours time hopefully we'll know one way or the other (P.S it's not :-))

The hoax has simply boiled over and *some* mainstream publications have succumbed. Shame on them.

I have made no personal attacks and thats now two from the same individual here. Or are we all supposed to be sheep? This is a hoax, simple as.

This is a hoax, simple as. You know that it isn't a hoax, and your posts on another forum have made it clear that you don't believe this. Your trolling. This isn't a personal attack, it's a statement of fact. Even if you did think it's a hoax, why would you have posted this about 2-dozen times in the last couple of hours? No need to reply ... the questions is rhetorical.

But anything is better than nothing. In an ordinary situation. But as the Boss of Bosses at the BBC is making his first keynote speech, letting him make the official announcement part of the speech makes sense. It gives him some extra publicity, and it would show the BBC's commitment to one of its biggest brands worldwide to have him do it.

Has anyone read at the end of the usual legal jargon inside DWM the sentence 'this sentence has been embargoed. You must not read it until 23rd November 2013'.Is this a cryptic clue to the announcement of missing episodes?

Please be aware everyone that Mr Freestone and Mr Brown are trolling furiously. Stop giving them oxygen by responding - no matter what they say. Whilst it may not stop them altogether, it will at least force them to use one of their other trolling aliases.

That's what he just said. Why shouldn't people live in hope? For what reason do you have to continue to shed gloom and tarnish people's hopes by repeating yourself just because someone's saying something you personally don't want to hear. Episodes were destroyed by Enterprises, yes, but since the late 70's, episodes have been coming back consistently. Why should this be any different? The purpose for this site is to discuss missing episodes and the possibility of episodes being recovered, so who are you to talk down to those who do just that, hmm?

For a laugh. I'd hoped the winky smileys might have helped show where I'm *really* coming from. Sorry Steve! However, I will now stop as a) I think it's run out of steam, and b) I've no wish to offend. Please feel free to report any of my posts deemed too far over the line of good humour. BTW, Justin Brown is my real name; my only alias is 'Fridaydalek' which I use on other forums. I've been a believer in the large-haul rumour for months now.

Suggestions now coming out that the 'press conference' has been cancelled. What a surprise.
