This new Sierra Leone rumor, is this a new thing or has the rumor been lingering a while? Pretty new. Although it actually began years back when someone posted that the archive wasn't destroyed. He was ignored back then, though.

This new Sierra Leone rumor, is this a new thing or has the rumor been lingering a while? Paul Vanezis put the kibosh on it in Dec 2011 in this forum. Seems to have revived on Gallifrey Base in the last week.

On Dec 16 2011 Paul said: But from : The International Center for Journalists website (dated 22 Oct 2010): It could all just be a misunderstanding though.

Is it possible that the cleanup was at the studios/offices, and the storage unit that held the films had been destroyed?

Doesn't the latest edition of WIPED cover this?

Is it possible that the cleanup was at the studios/offices, and the storage unit that held the films had been destroyed? Yes it is possible. People over on GB have founds various documents that only make reference to a gramaphone storage facilty (I.e. Music) being destroyed. No reference to a film store (not that proves it wasn't destroyed too, or that the store didn't contained music and film). It is therefore suggested that the original comments from Paul V back in 2011 could have unintentionally assumed that the film store was destroyed with the music. To my knowledge it hasn't been clarified if this subtle distinction has been checked or if Sierre Leone is back on the list as a possible line of enquiry.

All I know is that Paul mentioned that the station had been destroyed and yet it clearly still stands (and has apparently done for decades). I'm still sceptical about any missing episode rumours but this seems strange.
