Yes, I was wondering that. The likely candidates being Hollywood Palace, Mike Douglas Show, Smothers Brothers, Dick Cavett and Ed Sullivan (although I don't think they appeared on the latter).

None of those clips are missing, Jeff. The T.Rex one has been released on the "T.Rex On TV" DVD set as well.

You mean by HH? There's an appearance on the BBC children's show Ed And Zed, which survives in colour. They perform Lady Barbara and another song - without checking, I forget which. I seem to think it might be Sunshine Girl though.

I got this clip a few years ago from a friend, it's from "Sez Les", and my clip includes the introduction from Les Dawson. I agree that it's great to have this one.

Cheers Lance Great to see the "Slade" clip from Toppop. Considering that the Toppop archive is said to be complete, I just wish something from "Sweet" from '71 or '72 would surface. "Funny Funny" from April '71 would just be an absolute dream.

"Funny Funny" from April '71 would just be an absolute dream. Not all of the Toppop archive survives, February to September 1975 was degaussed which means I will never see the studio appearance of Van McCoy and the Soul City Symphony performing 'The Hustle' but gladly all of 1972 exists which is more than can be said for Top of the Pops. All of the Sweet's studio Toppop performances survive>>>> 30th March 1971 - Funny Funny 7th February 1972 - Poppa Joe 18th September 1972 - Wig Wam Bam 15th January 1973 - Blockbuster

A clip of Funny Funny would be good. It's one of my favourite Sweet singles but I didn't know there were any existing TV appearances for it. That's good news that one survives. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see it in our lifetimes!

Hello Again, That is new news to me as well in regards to the Sweet "Funny Funny" TopPop performance existing, similarly would love to see this.Along with "Poppa Joe" one of my top favorites from the Sweet during 1971.Really liked the similar south-seas pop feel-sound there,Chinn and Chapman strike again! On the off chance,I have messaged the poster of all these great TopPop clips, hoping may have this one about by chance, fingers crossed. With any luck may well be watching this one in the near future, fingers crossed again there! Update;I have just received a very in-depth response message from the poster.Apparently he has made contact with a chap who has a good deal of TopPop material recorded in-between 1973-1977 on either the N1500 or N1700 system is sounding like.Stated that the official archives were gutted by a fire in the early 80's,and a good deal,if not most?,early TopPop performances were lost.I am sad to announce that it appears that the 1971 "Funny Funny" performance is listed as being wiped in the official archives here.Though has stated will be keeping an eye out for me there. Is interesting to see that being from N1500/N1700 recordings, look at the quality here. And on the recently recovered 1976 TOTP N1500 material uploaded on YouTube of late, same story there, was blown away by the picture quality.Thought would let everyone know here. Also stated would be uploading a great deal more from this same source,in time as receives further transfers-recordings.Keep checking back for further developments there! Hope everyone has been enjoying all these clips posted of late. Some great stuff making their way out of the woodwork. Have found some further interesting clips, some of which am hoping for further info on in regards.Thank you as well for the additional info on the Blue Mink performance clip I posted, very much appreciated in regards. Iggy Pop & David Bowie-Sister Midnight-(Dinah Shore Show,1977?) www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1ac3Qc7h_sMUD - Tiger Feet (from Never Too Young To Rock 1975) Audio is horrible on this clip, footage is not too bad overall, had not seen this one previously.Interesting to see without a doubt, however would recommend setting your volume controls low for this one. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDQ3UQH3RmECarl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting (TOTP,1974) www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhUkGIsKvn0Canned Heat - On The Road Again ( Rare Promo Film 1967) www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVtokfirQ38An interesting 45sec clip featuring ABBA performing "Waterloo".States was found on a file sharing site. And is off-screen TV footage.Very interested to hear what might be thought about this one.Again, volume low on this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NEWdKwlPPYThis is from the same poster as the wiped Super 8mm Judy Teen material.States is from a video promo, honestly has the look of an early TV performance.Second thoughts. This is also for Cockney Rebel-Judy Teen-1974? www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYo55YzwAfESteve Harley talks about the believed wiped Judy Teen 23/5/74-TOTP performance: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9La66u2-AkoBee Gees - I Started A Joke ( Original Footage 1969,TV Promo) www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUey_SfIX10Mud - Rocket ( Different Rip From The Original Promo 1974) www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VMgdIR5sJwBrotherhood Of Man - Lady (1974,TopPop Promo) www.youtube.com/watch?v=98kZdWecrsANeil Diamond - I Am I Said (TopPop, Promo Film 1972) www.youtube.com/watch?v=uk9yEJayT9QCarl Douglas's second hit, everyone knows the previous hit,was a Number 1 "Kung Fu Fighting".Wishing that would turn up,however, this is a most welcome addition to the net.Enjoy Carl Douglas on TopPop in 1974 performing "Dance The Kung Fu": www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9TEMOST3boRolling Stones - Doo Doo Doo Heartbreaker (Broadcast in 1973 on TopPop.In this promo can also see Mick holding what looks like a cine camera at the start of this clip.Leaves you wondering where this footage may be now?Locked away?Or Lost for good?Who knows, makes you wonder there though: www.youtube.com/watch?v=llmhZNE_0owRolling Stones - Tumbling Dice (Broadcast in 1972 on TopPop) www.youtube.com/watch?v=544Lz_s2QdkCockney Rebel-Black or White (1:41min clip of an apparently rare TopPop performance) www.youtube.com/watch?v=XanBMxbObu8Am most interested to hear what is thought here in regards. Cheers,Lance.
