i personally don't think Blue Peter has the DMP episode 4 if they did have it would've been returned long ago my guess is the episode wasn't returned and it was taken by an employee at the BBC Either that, or Bignell's theory And then what happened to it? If it went back to BBC Enterprises, it no doubt would have eventually been disposed of as with all the other redundant prints. No, but then there isn't any surviving junking documentation for any BBC Enterprises film recordings. Unless we find the episode, we may never know.

Are we sure that every clip used on a TV show from classic Doctor who has been found It depends upon how complete the surviving records are.

Are there any know clips that were used on shows that are themselves missing? For example, a large chunk of Ask Aspel is gone, what treasures might be found if some of them turned up?

The Dalek battle from Evil of the Daleks 7 was a request on Ask Aspel wasn't it? Or on some similar programme.

The Dalek battle from Evil of the Daleks 7 was a request on Ask Aspel wasn't it? Or on some similar programme. I've previously said on here that I remember a clip of Daleks exploding being screened sometime in the late 1960s on a programme that I thought must have been a "Points Of View" type programme, because the clip was introduced by the presenter saying someone had asked to see again "when the Daleks were destroyed." I think the clip was almost certainly from the Dalek battle in Evil Of The Daleks. As I remember it there were a number of Daleks on screen, a fair bit of smoke, Daleks being vocally agitated and at least one Dalek having its dome blown off in the action. The programme was not "Ask Aspel". However I also recall the presenter introducing the clip as being a woman, so I guess it my well have been the "Spoonful Of Sugar" programme, although i don't remember anything about hospital visits etc. Obviously it was a very long time ago though!

That’s my recollection too Andrew. Spoonful of Sugar fits the bill.
