I don't know why anybody would want to watch an animation of a surviving episode. Animation is a poor substitute for the real thing. It's just the only feasible method of providing a moving visual for an episode that is missing, at least with the current state of technology. It’s to give - cue American accent: “A consistent viewer experience” 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮📽️ |

So the rumors were at least partially true! Will definitely be preordering this. Hopefully the recon is better than the dreadful one that was previously on the DVD. |

The last recon was, with all due respect, kinda pathetic, especially if the story is true that the Restoration Team was denied the chance to do one of their usual reconstructions at no additional cost, and were instructed to simply make an incomprehensible slideshow that an 8-year-old could do on YouTube. |

That is great news. It's such a zany cartoonist story that animation makes absolute sense!! Wonder who is doing the animation as I thought they lost their funding for it? I did pop over to the Galifrey Base Missing Episodes forum to chat about it and, once again, they have locked the thread!! I think it gets locked more than my back door does!! But yes I am super happy we will get this and hopefully that means we may get The Smugglers now! That would mean only The Highlanders would be needed for a Season 4 boxset!! You see, nuzzink in ze vorld can stop them now!!! Cheers all MJ |

ive been hoping for an animation announcement for ages so im excited. I know this story is not much of a favourite but I like it, and it raises the hopes that one day we will get a Daleks Master plan animation at some point.

Yeah I know there are some issues with the existing releases, but I think all but the first half of episode 1 are covered by the Randolph tapes IIRC? I haven't heard the vinyl release to know if it is any better |

But there’s then the mother of all animations for a story like that It would be the grandaddy of them all wouldn't it? At least 9 episodes (probably twelve or even 13). If they didn't split it into two releases it would probably end up being 4 discs and would start to get close to the price of the collection sets. |

Any news where the fundings come from? Since America appeared to of dried up I'd be surprised if the BBC had just paid for it itself |
