Is it an amazon order? Just checked amazon is showing 18th as the release date, but expects to deliver on the 23rd. Season 2 arrived late for me

Season 2 arrived late for me Mine is and shows the same disparity between release and (estimated) delivery dates. For some reason Amazon increasingly do this now whereas in the past they always guaranteed delivery on day of release (providing appropriate postage costs were met of course). Based on recent experiences with them though I think their logistical system isn’t exactly firing on all cylinders these days. Still, just as long as they don’t subcontract my packages out to bloody Evri for delivery like they did last time then I don’t mind waiting…

I may well cancle my amazon order and try an in person order at hmv where I can pick it up on the day or the a different vendor. I miss zoom. 10% off every order with a fresh email address and would regularly turn up the Friday or Saturday before release. Just amazon are giving me no reason to stay, late delivery no cheaper elsewhere. I'm a hungry who fan lol

March 18th is showing as the release date on hmv for season 15....lots of chatter on various groups about season 6 coming soon. I really hope not. I understand why they did 2 without the crusade but I think space pirates would be such a good animation and it would really suck for a collection to come out without it and it get one later down the road. A Troughton set is long overdue and Season 6 is obviously the most likely candidate. However, 'The Space Pirates' would almost certainly have to be animated first since there is so little visual material available to make a reconstruction. Indeed, it could potentially make a great animation and I think it would really benefit from the process, although with no indication that this story is coming any time soon in cartoon form (nor, indeed, Season 5's 'The Wheel in Space'), I fear we might have to wait a little longer for Pat to make his Collection debut...

Those two are the obvious Troughton seasons and Five has the advantage that Wheel has two surviving episodes. I’m happy to have another colour season if it means getting an animated Wheel or Space Pirates.

It's about time they released another B&W season!

It's about time they released another B&W season! Well, there’s insufficient funds in the BluRay budget for animation so let’s see: Season 1. Marco Polo missing but there are no telesnaps for Episode 4. Season 5. Wheel has two surviving episodes, an animation for the start of Episode 1 and telesnaps for the missing episodes. Season 6. Space Pirates has one surviving episode and no telesnaps. Without funds for animation a BluRay release could do little with either Marco Polo or Space Pirates. It’s difficult to see the point of a telesnap reconstruction for six out of seven episodes. My hope is that Wheel will be animated for the “standard” DVD/BluRay range which would mean that it could be included in a future BluRay release of Season 5.

Doctor Who Blu-ray short films to be 'rested', producer confirmsThese trailers have been absolutely superb, getting better and better with each new film, so it would be a bit of a shame if we were only going to get clips packages for a while. However, it might not be quite the bad news as it first appears: Pete McTighe says that they are 'a lot of work', and made with few resources (this makes the end results, particularly the Season 15 trailer, even more impressive) so it's understandable that the producers may want to step back from them for the foreseeable future. Although he also says that the budget for the films isn't especially large, it might even free up more money for other features. In addition (and this really is pure speculation on my part) most of the surviving regular cast from the '70s and '80s have appeared in at least one film already so this might be for the best in order to avoid repetition and diminish the excitement of those actors' appearances. But, as McTighe suggests, they do have some material filmed and some more to come, so it could be that they are preparing trailers featuring the surviving 1960s regulars, and as these would have to wait until those sets can be released in the best possible form, this could be another factor in those short films being 'rested' for the time being. So I certainly don't think we have seen the last of these trailers and, whatever comes next, I shall await it with great anticipation.
