BBC CA listed it early about 8am UK time. The release date given was 04/06/2024. This could have been a placeholder, I'm not sure. Are they normally advertised 6 months in advance?

No not usually 6 months away.....hopefully a place holder. Zavi shows December 2024 as its placeholder adn that would be worse lol

If this was the date as listed on BBC Canada, this could very well be 6th April, rather than 4th June. (Although 6th April is a Saturday...) I don't buy the limited editions myself (indeed, I still only have two standard editions, but I'm getting there!) although it's still exciting to see a new announcement. This one looks one of the best of the lot, with superb artwork (I've not always been a fan of the Collection covers), some great extras, and the trailer is brilliant. Looking forward to seeing this in due course!!

Great to read the excitement for this set! The last half a dozen or so have generally had a TBC release date, but just a great to hear what’s next! Lots of extra that sound good - great to see Tom doing a new interview - I feel like the team have a number of things “in the can” for this and the last two 4th Doctor sets. Can’t believe he’s 90 in 7 days! Legend!

Strange that the latest DWM reports that there will be an animated release of The Celestial Toymaker but absolutely no release date. Amazon also listed then removed the Steelbook and general release of this story. Anyone have more concrete release data?

No idea on Release date, however my order with Amazon.co.uk is still there, and the Steelbook is still showing as available.

Do you think they're somehow reconfiguring the animation, seeing as the WOF 3 animated release received such a harsh critical reaction from fandom?

Do you think they're somehow reconfiguring the animation, seeing as the WOF 3 animated release received such a harsh critical reaction from fandom? With contracts long since signed, work evidently well underway and budgets tight I fear that might be wishful thinking! Regardless, it’s perhaps a little mean spirited to condemn something just from a brief teaser trailer but if the latter really does accurately represent the final product then it’s a shame. Quite how the BBC seemingly thought that commissioning animation of ‘ sub amateur Youtuber doing it in their spare time for fun’ quality was the way forward is a mystery…

Still no release date for season 15, but they are screening horror of fang rock and one of the new interviews at the bfi on Feb 4th. Usually the sets come put a few weeks after this so I think a late Feb early march would be a safe bet

March 18th is showing as the release date on hmv for season 15....lots of chatter on various groups about season 6 coming soon. I really hope not. I understand why they did 2 without the crusade but I think space pirates would be such a good animation and it would really suck for a collection to come out without it and it get one later down the road.
