Does anyone know where and when the announcement is made today? Is it on the BBC News or The One Show? Where will it be revealed?

Does anyone know where and when the announcement is made today? Is it on the BBC News or The One Show? Where will it be revealed? Hi Nigel, Apologies, but the press release is out of my hands and as it's from both the BBC Archive and the BFI, both have to be signed off before it happens. I've only just heard that there may be a delay and the sign off won't happen until the end of the day. Obviously that will push things back until tomorrow. I would keep across the BFI and BBC Archive Twitter and Facebook feeds. Enjoy, as there are some excellent recoveries there. With regards, Paul

Looking forward to seeing what's been recovered. Philip Morris has done a magnificent job so far recovering archive material. I don't expect any Doctor Who recoveries in the upcoming announcement, but hopefully there is something waiting in the wings.

Of course they would find Kitten Kong! 😉 Missing episodes can only be found weeks after the definitive version comes out! LOL.

Every time I see this thread updated I think "Finally! An Announcement!" only to discover that's it's just other members commenting on there not having been an announcement yet...

Lets hope that the two Likely Lads episodes "Faraway Places" & " A Star Is Born" are part of this recovery. They have been in private hands for far too long. A close friend was part of the initial recovery team for these as well as numerous other hitherto missing comedy titles including a series 3 Rag Trade episode back in March 2007, so cross fingers.

This is turning into a farce now. Its not that bloody difficult to send a tweet, a kid of 2 could do it.

Actually,we've been very good here today.
All praise to the searchers-finders,but if pre-announcements are made,it can be frustrating to have deadlines missed-too much time to weave dreams of what might be about to be announced.

I too am looking forward to finding out whatever it is that has been recovered Hopefully it will be something on my personal wants list, if not then something that will be fun to watch at some point anyway. If the announcement is delayed I am guessing it will be for some reason rather than whim. I am going to go and grab some tortillas and chilli dip and hit F5 every so often...............
