It's that time again guys! I love all of these stories so I honestly don't know what to pick. But I'm calling Power or Evil will take top billing because, well duh. Happy voting!

I love Macra but had to go with Power. It's still amazing in every medium in which it's currently available.

This Season is a tough call - like many others,I've only seen most of The Tenth Planet and snippets of other stories.
The Faceless Ones reminds me so much of an episode of The Avengers and the recon is very good.
Ep2 of Evil has me hooked, line and sinker to see the rest.
I love the exterior scenes on Vulcan in the telesnaps and the way the tension ratchets up over the full 6 episodes in Power.
I'm not so keen on most of the Hartnell historicals but I do like the look and sound of The Smugglers.
The one I'm most intrigued by is The Highlanders so I'm going to call this as my favourite which I'd most like to see.

Without question, The Power Of The Daleks.

I should imagine that for many, it will be a toss-up between Power & Evil. My main interest in DW is nostalgia, a fascination with what I can remember from a very young age and my oldest DW memories are from Evil. For that reason it has got my vote even though Power is arguably a better story.

Power. First Troughton. Daleks. But not just Daleks - the POWER of the Daleks. The Doctor not only regenerates but his clothes do too. Whitaker AND Spooner. The Doctor meets Mr. Spock and they drink a nice pot of tea together* The tension -- The humans think the Daleks are nice affable fellows who enjoy serving tea to the Doctor and his Vulcan friend Spock. But we know the Truth!!! The end of ep 3. Daleks chanting "We will get our Power" * Mr. Spock may or may not be in this story. He probably isn't but he should be.

* Mr. Spock may or may not be in this story. He probably isn't but he should be. Power of the Daleks:1 airdate - 5-Nov-66 The Man Trap (first aired ST:TOS episode to mention the planet Vulcan) airdate - 8-Sep-66 You do the math!

The whole Vulcan thing is odd. :-) Star Trek didn't air in the UK till 1969. The majority of pre-publicity says Spock came from Vulcanis not Vulcan. Including the first novel and subsequent repeats published in 1967. The DW television companion says that it's a popular myth that the Vulcan Who pre-dates ST - it says ST predates DW because of that US debut date. However it then states "and although Spock's home planet was refferred to initially as Vulcanis it became Vulcan a few episodes later". Which is somewhat confusing. So your certain that it is Vulcan and not Vulcanis in the Man Trap? I'm not positive it was even stated on air so it's a good excuse to watch Man Trap again.

I'm guessing the name Vulcan was used more from mythology. Vulcan was the God of fire, volcanoes, metal working and forges. The planet has mercury swamps, it's industry (mining was referred to) might have something to do with that.

I recently watched THE MOONBASE so that's why I choose THE MOONBASE. I like POWER, TENTH PLANET AND EVIL as well.
