An old thread, and on the wrong board, since all episodes survive, and were realeaed on DVD by Network...but at least it's on-topic! Talking Pictures ran Crown Court for a while recently, a fact I forgot to post here-but gave it up. I didn't quite catch the reason, but think it was simply lack of interest. This was a shame, not least because there was never a complete-series box-set issued, and one of the series was deleted fairly quickly, causing it to go up to megapounds. Perhaps if I'd actually mentioned that TPTV were showing it...? Anyone know if they got round to the early-deleted episodes? Sadly Network only released 8 volumes of Crown Court on DVD which covered cases 1-97, broadcast October 1972 - July 1974. There were over 200 more cases ITV broadcast in the 10 years that followed. I was rather hoping TPTV were going to live up to their statement that they were going to show every episode. However, at the rate they were being televised, it would have been a mighty long wait to get to the end! Cex list the eight individual sets for a total of £377.00 if anyone's interested... All the more reason to watch it on TPTV!

In his note on a Candlestick Park home-movie, this uploader mentions "For the introductory walk-on, I have used the available real audio from a recently surfaced newsreel....". www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pn5ayAJcxkUAnyone know more?

'It's time for tea and meet the wife.' In the 5th May 1964 episode, the paperboy is chalking on the wall, and gets as far as 'Beat...' when Freddie Frinton opens the door. Oh, and it's a three-disc set. Four episodes on disc 1 (including the Comedy Playhouse pilot), four on disc 2, and eight (!) on disc 3.

Yes indeed and that skewed view diminishes pop in general and also his. Wouldn't it be great for BBC2 to have a mini series of music clips from across their music archive after the big names thing on Saturday. And revive 'Rock Goes To College'. With another title. Great idea! How about 'Rock Went To College'? 'Rock Goes to University (nee College).'?

Peter Purves at Utopia 2023 convention said he’d like Celestial Toymaker to be animated next but he can’t say anything about it - read into this what you will 10 months ago this thread started and was met, understandably, with quite a bit of scepticism. That, and the thread being called 'Celestial Toymaker?' led me to pay little attention to it. I'm very pleased that the animations are coming out. Long may they continue!

And on Saturday 20th April at 7 p.m., Molenzitch (1972), the one colour episode not on the box-sets. (It was conjectured that release was blocked by one of the actors). i.e.tonight!

I'd love it if this thread could be changed from 'Celestial Toymaker?' to 'Celestial Toymaker!'. Lovely! Thr only bit of Toymaker can remember from the 60s is, of course, from the surviving episode!

Ah. Just realised that means it started yesterday. I'm sure it'll be on catch-up. Any chance of an eventual DVD set?

Didn't Disney+ solve most of those problems, though? I can finally watch the Gummi Bears again, and Ducktales till I drop. Yes it has for some cartoons that never had any home release & stopped being repeated on the Disney channels. Adding that both the named series had various video-tape releases, unlike, say, the Honey, I Shrank the Kids live-action series.

Alerted, possibly. I don't see why they should alarm you. He'd clocked them, certainly.
