This 1990s cartoon was a Canadian / French co-production which was the subject of a copyright infringement court case.
Supposedly the master tapes of the series have been wiped as a consequence.

I love it in old shows when the blackmailer says "A one-off payment, and I'll give you all the copies of the photos, plus the negatives"!

I know that 5 DVDs were issued of the French language versions. I couldn't find anything in the article that says they've been wiped, despite the plagiarization.

I did a little Googling & found the French language DVDs.

It was shown on a South African channel last year, in English. (I couldn't personally check this but it was on their programming schedule and they were an English speaking channel.)

Even without the above issues some animated series from around this time have fallen into limbo especially many Disney ones.

Didn't Disney+ solve most of those problems, though? I can finally watch the Gummi Bears again, and Ducktales till I drop.

Adding that both the named series had various video-tape releases, unlike, say, the Honey, I Shrank the Kids live-action series.

Adding that both the named series had various video-tape releases, unlike, say, the Honey, I Shrank the Kids live-action series. Not in every language or region. Although there seems to have been a badly documented East-European Gummi Bears DVD with many audio tracks. But that'd be redundant now anyway.
