I'm afraid you are in for a disappointment, never trust your EPG.

I have a partial recording of The Wurzels singing "I Hate J.R." on Pebble Mill at One on 25 Mar 1980. It isn't on that list.

I'd love to see proper releases too.
With the material available I'm sure it would be technically possible, whether it is commercially viable is another matter.

Answer the same as Ronnie said for series 8. A TCC off-air of "Vertigo" exists.

Is there any news on the contents of the discs ? has it been officially released yet An update was posted on the Kaleidoscope Facebook Group recently: Chris Perry
4 November at 21:27
Some people have begun to enquire about the dvd release date for The Native Hue of Resolution. The plan was to release it on the 6th December 2014.
Rory Clark has constructed a fabulous new edit of the film and some great featurettes for disc one; aswell as restoring and collating disc two.
However, we have hit a few snags. Clearing the Pan's People footage is proving very difficult; and the manager of the group has said no. We have gone back to him and offered to show him the cut of the film featuring the PP footage. We are hopeful that this may change his mind.
The other slight delay has been caused by the very welcome support of Phil Morris. Phil spends most of his life jetting around the world and last year when we made the film he was out of the UK. He has now seen the film and would like us to shoot some new footage with him, because he feels the footage would be better spoken in his words and not Dick Fiddy or Chris Perry putting words in his mouth. Actually arranging this interview will still be quite hard because right now Phil is in Africa again and then he goes elsewhere so we are trying to find a date in December that suits him.
This means that the film is unlikely to come out until February or March. It is likely that we will hold a special launch of the film the night before the March event, and will show some of the missing material currently being found and returned to us, as part of that night.
We hope people are happy with this plan?
Thanks
Chris & Rory

The Times listings for Friday 28/5/71 has it for LWT only at 8:00pm.
All the other regions apart from Southern, Anglia, HTV and Ulster, transmitted it the following evening at either 10:10pm or 10:40pm.
I think these must be the first transmissions, there is nothing earlier going back to 1/1/1970.
(It's worth joining a library with a subscription to the online Times archive, microfiche is a bit last century!)

Muriel Young makes a brief appearance in Southern Television’s 21st Anniversary programme of 1979, speaking about working on advertising magazine programmes. youtu.be/WSl43IDSYNE?t=22m53s (Starts at 23:05) A bit later in the same programme, Tony Blackburn talks about three pilot pop programmes, - “As You Like It”, “New Release” and “Countdown” – which all preceded “Time For Blackburn”. youtu.be/WSl43IDSYNE?t=38m4sMany thanks to fellow Southern TV enthusiast TheBluechickens for tracking these down. ~ian

Looks like it was a 25 minute programme in the ITV children's slot. From The Times TV listing:
Wednesday, Oct 14, 1981 4.20 - Country Camera - The first of seven programmes featuring 18-year-old wildlife cameraman Simon King.
It was shown in all regions but I can't tell from The Times who made it. update: Strangely it doesn't seem to be included in the otherwise extensive list of work on Simon King's website: www.simonkingwildlife.com/page/tv-film#eightyone~iw

I also remember this PIF and I am sure I have seen it within the last few years, certainly since the seventies.
I can't see Joe Brown's name on the inside of the "Charley Says" DVD sleeve but that doesn't mean it's definitely not on there.

This 15 minute clip has just been uploaded to YouTube: youtu.be/Nhq_-INxg7Y?list=UUTs1J6CUBVmSwTaQRiHiKegI haven't checked but just relying on memory I'm pretty certain this isn't part of the two complete shows currently known about. It was apparently recorded in 1978 by friends of one of the guests. ~iw

Well there are three more episodes to come. And the first episode covered "Beat The Clock" which was B&W.

sadly it seems the VHS format has now gone the way of the cassette and even (in some charity shops) the vinyl LP & singles ! Certainly true for VHS but vinyl is still very much alive around my way. There is even an Oxfam near me that now specialises in nothing but books and vinyl, I've picked up quite a few good singles there. ~iw
