I recall that there is some documentation of stations being instructed to send prints to others. Oh sure, but those instructions came months or even years later. The stations held onto them until those instructions came. They didn't send them to a secondary body. Perhaps at the very last station, if further instructions were being awaited but no instructions ever came, some films may have just remained where they were, gathering dust, and just were forgotten.

None of the major film distributors operated anything remotely like the model that some are suggesting was how TIE operatzed. It didn't happen that way. There were no central collection / storage points. The TV stations themselves acted as temporary storage sites. There was no need for an intermediary. We can be sure that Phil Morris and TIEA have looked into what films were at all TV stations that functioned as storage sites of that sort, I'm sure.

It was determined at one point that TIE, Ltd. had some sort of office or facility in Ethiopia. That’s easy:-) The Ark of the Covenant is supposedly in Ethiopia - Philip Morris is auditioning for the part of Indiana Jones! Television International Enterprises, Ltd. c/o The Church of Our Lady Mary of Zion The Chapel of the Tablet Aksum, Ethiopia It will be difficult to do a proper search of the place unfortunately!

They should not redo the missing episodes, but they could do 'Farewell Great Macedon' and 'Fragile Yellow Arc of Fragrance' and more of that sort (never made First Doctor stories).

Perhaps someone who works closely with Mr. Morris could just confirm this again, but what we have been told repeatedly is that after the job is done, we will be told the results. It's just that, so far, the job hasn't been finished yet. This assurance has been told to us often and in a very straightforward fashion, so I have no reason to doubt it. Until such time as we are told the outcome, we don't know if the Omnisearch has yielded (or will yield) 90, 19, 9, or nothing more! Until then, we can speculate!

I briefly looked at the price of airline tickets to the UK for this event, but confirmed that they were beyond my budget. I would certainly be upset now if I had spent every bit of spare change to get myself over to the event only to have Phil Morris bow out at this late date.
However, since I didn't bankrupt myself to get there, I'm not bothered.
There could be any number of perfectly normal reasons why Phil Morris is no longer attending. I hope all is well.

Speaking of crushing disappointments ...
I've amended my vote to nothing happening at the event now that Phil Morris (and Donald Tosh) are not attending.
I wonder what happened!

I remember I had a friend one time that I was talking to about Doctor Who and I started talking about the Missing episodes and mentioned Fury from the Deep. My friend then told me that his uncle had a recording of Fury from the Deep at his house. His uncle actually had a recording of Warriors of the Deep and my friend had just remembered the title incorrectly. Crushing disappointment. And he also has all the episodes of Evil of the Daleks. Oh, no ... wait ... It's actually Day of the Daleks. Sorry!

I think there will be some sort of reveal of recovered episodes. Why? You can't just pull missing episodes out of thin air, you have to actually spend lots of hard work and time finding them and even then you probably won't be successful these days even with the right contacts. A boots-on-the-ground, no-stone-left-unturned global search is not hard work enough? A decade is not time enough? (Potentially, I mean. If they don't exist anymore whatsoever because they were utterly destroyed, then so amount of searching can find them anymore as they no longer exist to be found.) Phil Morris and others have said that the full story will be told when the job is done. The full story, I assume, would include a description of what was and was not found. Basically, I trust that we will eventually hear the results of the search when the job is done. The question is therefore just whether the job is done or not (and whether this might be the most opportune time to share the results). I'm guessing that it will be, but that's only a guess obviously.

The appearance of new "missing" posters appear to have halted ... at least temporarily.

Here we have an example of what doing a no-stone-left-unturned search is like. It's not easy and it takes lots of time and effort! Thank you, Dave!

Power of the Daleks in USA MOVIE THEATRES I wish it was the original broadcast version only this time in CinemaScope® and glorious Technicolor. *Heard they had a lot of fun with some professional cine equipment and some 35mm optical sound colour negative film stock during camera rehearsals lols Speaking of which, is there anywhere to find out for a fact what the actual aspect ratio of this version of 'Power' will be? The other animated reconstructions of episodes were obviously done in the same square aspect ratio of any TV show, but this theatrical release means (I assume) that the picture will be rectangular like any movie. Will the BBC Shop downloads look like a movie? Will purists still be able to watch it as a square picture? Will the DVD have widescreen and full-frame options? I'm just wondering how this will work exactly.
