Nation must have needed better business advice than ALS gave him. Terry Nation's agent was Steven Moffat's mother-in-law, Beryl Vertue, a co-director of Associated London Scripts and also co-director of Dalek Productions Limited, the company specifically set up to produce the new Dalek series. As you will know, Beryl Vertue is currently working in television as executive producer of the BBC series 'Sherlock', so is available to be asked about the 1966 film, where Terry sadly is not. You might not remember, but she was a friend of Alan Simpson of Galton and Simpson, and began her career working with them on the radio show "Hancock's Half Hour". Although my post concerning David Attenborough and Lew Grade was tongue-in-cheek, you don't seem to have noticed that. Nevertheless, I am not really suggesting that Terry was given bad advice, as my subsequent paragraphs in fact made clear. There is only one serious point I want to make, which is that the reason why ALS obtained the four film prints in question could be important.
