I totally agree with you Richard. I have come to realise that we are unlikely to see more episodes recovered so we might as well start trying to find everything else that survives. Off-Air photos are great at showing us what the episodes because they are exactly what was on the screen and the chances are there are more out there. If so many people recorded the audio there must be more who took pictures off the screen.
Richard I would be very interested in seeing this extra picture from TWOF and I am also very interested in seeing the images from Tomb and Wheel.

I can tell you that the picture from Tomb shows the close-up of the cyberman's head with smoke pouring out of it when it gets shot trying to come up from the Tomb.
The pictures from Wheel 3 I believe all came from the end though I can only recall 1 (for certain) possibly a second one to mind.
The one I remember for certain shows the astronaut (forget his name), with a wiggly line coming out of him as the cyberman takes him over.
I think the second one shows the two cybermen standing at the end of the episode.
I will try to get in touch with Terry, but like I said the best avenue of enquiry is with DWM itself.

This is great news Richard. If contacting Terry leads to nothing I will see if I (or somebody else) can contact DWM. I know of the Aztec image from the unknown Australian fan and the ones you mentioned but are there any other off-air photos from EXISTING episodes from the 1960s?

I seem to remember a couple from The Daleks, taken by Dicky Howett, which appeared in DWM.

Thanks Rob. Do you know which issue these would be in?

I'm sure I read someone saying once that one of the 8 "Marco Polo" photographs (the close up of Hartnell's face) found to be from an episode of The Ark. I thought I read that on the rt forum at one point, although dunno of the absolute veracity of the claim.

Thanks Rob. Do you know which issue these would be in? Sorry mate, no. I think it would have been c. 1982-4, if that helps.

This is great news Richard. If contacting Terry leads to nothing I will see if I (or somebody else) can contact DWM. The images we used in Nothing at the End of the Lane come from DWM. They certainly didn't seem to have any others when they passed them over to me.

So Richard. Am I right in saying that the only known off-air photographs from the 1960s from Doctor Who are the ones I mentioned in the original post the one from the Aztecs and possibly the ones that Rob and Richard are speaking about?

No, there are others. I can recall that there are some from the existing episodes of The Invasion for example.

Okay. Is there anywhere, where I can find a comprehensive list of off-air photos from 1960s Doctor Who? Also has the Aztecs photo ever been published?

Just as an aside, not off topic exactly, but were the photos used in the 1964 Dalek Book Photo Story taken from the film print? I have tried to look this up on't'internet and I sadly don't have my Dalek Book to hand to check against the video.
