I have The Daemons copy still saved in the house as a keep sake, I transferred it to DVD ages ago though. Sadly the Terror of the Autons tape I used was a cheapie from 1983 and its jammed in a VHS machine, but no loss as its also transferred to DVD and the color was used on the BBC DVD and Blue Ray from the original Chicago recording source.
Other fans also had copies of these recoding's from WTTV (Chicago), KCET (Los Angels) and WNDE (Buffalo) that the BBC used to release the VHS and DVD recordings. I used to have a file down load of a copy of the video files from the BBC copy of the WNED 17 Buffalo broadcast of The Ambassadors of Death but I lost it when the computer died in 2013. I was amazed how much better the BBC colour copy from WNED than the copy I had from 1983. The BBC copy along with all its faults was miles better than what I had on VHS. Just helps that the BBC got a copy from the original source.

Actually I do and its sitting in the garage next to the one that crashed in December 2020. I did power it up a few months ago to try and gt some stuff of of it but it was a main. Alas there is nothing on there that I really need (although it would have been nice to be able to down load and burn those episodes on to a DVD for novelty purposes but since the DVD is out there is no deed for it. And it would cost a fortune to get it repaired. Now I did burn to DVD the untransmuted episode's of Secret Army" and Doomwatch". . .
And for those wondering "Secret Army" flows better into "Kessler" with out the un transmitted episode.

It may be recoverable without spending a small fortune, a lot of hard drives just crash due to being the main drive and can't handle as many random accesses to the drive. I would recommend getting an online storage place for it all.

Oh I'm sure I could get it fixed but I really don't need it, lots of old personnel family photographs (which I have on CD-ROM and video files but nothing of paramount importance. But its a Windows 7 computer and sadly its out of date. When I had it powered up the first thing it did was upgrade Internet Explorer to Microsoft Edge. . .
its just not worth the effort.
Now with the December 2020 crash of its replacement I did get the video files, photographs and desk top copied to the new computer. Had I known it was possible in 2013 I might have done it then

I managed to watch Terror of the Autons and Mind of Evil from the new blu-ray set this weekend - very enjoyable! Like others have mentioned above, only the location scenes in Autons were the ones that were a little grainy for me, but certainly didn't spoil it. And I also watched the Terrence Dicks tribute which I thought was a really great - lot of love for that guy on that tribute.

If i was using the comic book analogy,
I view pertwee as complete set of various conditions I do not view it as a complete mint set as some need upgrades.
Also i do not believe we have a mint unrestored set.

Watched Claws of Axos last night. Again such high quality on the restoration and the extras were top draw. The one discussing the recovery of the episodes via the NTSC conversion was very interesting being much more technical than your usual YouTube less detailed video. Really enjoying this Season 8 set with some stories I haven't watched in a good while!

The Terrance Dicks and the Direct Route documentaries on the Season 8 box-set are absolutely stunning and have taken Blu-ray Special Features to a whole new level.Even the sea fort documentary on the Fury From The Deep blu-ray is incredible. It gives the images a crystal clear and rich palette which at the same time is so immersive.Absolutely brilliant!

Agreed Jaspal - I thought that Frank Skinner did a great job on that tribute and have really enjoyed all the other new documentaries / extras on the new sets that have been release like you refer to.
I was watching Colony in Space last night - really good 6 parter, a lot better than I remember from many years back. Maybe benefitting from being watched with the rest of season 8 in order, and in a relatively short timescale. Either way, it was good fun to watch and nice to see the impact on Jo of suddenly finding herself on another planet in the far future - thought she was very good in that story.
