Great news about Web 3. I'm also pleased that the search is still ongoing. 😀

I remember watching this story on first (and only) broadcast.I can even convince myself that I remember him meeting the Brig-to-be.

You can have my brain. I also have good memories of Marco Polo (except 500 eyes),Mission to the Unknown, Evil of the Daleks and many other missing stories/episodes. All I'd want them to do is either find Daleks Masterplan 12 (which I've never seen), Power to the Daleks (which we'd ALL like to see) and a few others. All I'd want from the BBC is to use my memories to remake lost episodes. After all, they've recently remade and are showing remakes of some lost sitcom episodes. Not too much to ask is....?

I never missed an episode of Hartnell, and only a few of Troughton's, so I'm willing to part with my brain. After all, I'm not using it any more!

Yes,John, love,it's here: clyp.it/q1hykz4z Thanks for the link. I always prefer to reserve judgement until I hear things directly from the horse's mouth. His WOF3 comments do indeed sound encouraging, although I'll remain cautious as it may simply be a case of Phil remaining positive & resolute. If I could have one episode back above all others, WOF3 may be top of my list ... not just because it would complete a classic Troughton but more because it wouldn't feel such a pisser - so near yet so far.

clyp.it/q1hykz4z [/quote] This his an excellent, heartwarming article. What a genuinely sincere and passionate professional Philip is. He is - clearly the best placed guy and organisation to see this project through. All very positive and hopeful of more finds. It shows how amateur hunters need to be sent packing, unless they have genuine, non interfering leads. Thanks for the link.

I just wonder when we will hear what he has recovered (apart from Who) as we never seem to get proper details of this. Also how is all this searching and recovery work being funded. Can't be cheap to do all this Work. There really is a good documentary to be made about this.

I don't know what he means by "when you least expect it", as for me every second of every day is as likely or unlikely to carry an announcement about missing Dr Who as any other.
However, I wish Phil all the luck in the world. He sounded like a real gentleman, too, and I hope one day to meet him so that I can tell him face to face just how grateful I am for what he's doing.
