Well, it's a new month! New Poll! My Vote goes towards 024.

I love the War Machines, well obviously because it exists in it's entirety but also because it has a tremendously contemporary feel to it,even though it was made almost 50 years ago. It's a pre-cursor to the the UNIT era obviously, but also uses familiar London locations like the Post Office Tower and Cornwall Gardens. It's a great story.DMP would also be great as the audio soundtrack is wonderful and very involving even without most of the visuals. The Ark is also good and well worth re-appraisal.Shame that so much of S3 is missing!

My personal favorite is The Myth Makers, thought that was a tough choice. Good use of the historical setting to set up a rather humorous first 3/4 before the final part. Shame it is all missing. I also like DMP, The Massacre (of St Bartholomew's Eve), and the War Machines, but DMP tends to be a bit long for me at times, and The War Machines gives Dodo a rather bad send off. Overall this is probably my favorite Hartnell season.

These polls have made me realise just how (IMHO) superior Season 3 is compared to Seasons 1 & 2 combined.
Galaxy 4 is one of my Hartnell favourites & Mission / Toymaker are both underrated. Not a great fan of the Hartnell history stories but Myth Makers is one I'd be keen to see (not too fussed about Massacre though). Savages would be high on my list of Hartnell episodes I'd like to see returned as it's a good story.
My vote has to go to the roller-coaster epic Dalek Master Plan though (with Galaxy 4 second).

Having seen only what exists of S3 i will go for DMP. From recons and novelisations, i would be close to picking Massacre or toymaker. Not a big fan of the 3 complete stories from S3 to be honest, all ok, just nothing WOW, in any of them for me

So many wonderful stories here. I love most of them. I went with Dalek's Masterplan because of the content, character building, and powerful death scenes.

No votes for the gunfighters. Sanity has prevailed thus far I voted Ark, difficult choice as there are some quality selections on offer. Close seconds for me are the war machines and Dalek masterplan, but Ark prevails. It isn't the most competent or creative story of the season and the story line isn't very original, but something about it has always shined for me, and there is some memorably goofy dialogue on offer. A personal favourite.

The war machines is not only my favourite from season 3 but it's also my personal favourite from William hartnell.

Savages, But Masterplan a close 2nd ! Hmm, interesting choice. My perception of the savages was always that it would have been a somewhat dull story, but without so much as clip to judge it by it remains for me at least a somewhat unknown quantity compared to most other missing stories. I wonder if a complete episode of it will ever be returned to the archives so that I have something more substantial to base my opinion on? It could be another one of those Hartnells that, like the ark and the space museum, are less than stellar, but more than the sum of their ingredients. I wonder.................... Maybe I should give the audio another spin or have a hunt for a recon.

The idea itself is pure genius And i have listened to Audio and loose cannons version. I do hope that it one day turns up.......

Mmmm, seeing the brief clips of The Savages on synched super 8 makes me think I have vague memories of watching it as a very young child. As I said on a different thread previously it is a classic Sci-Fi theme and I think that it should stand up well. So for me I would go for The Savages and DMP.

The smugglers was a Hartnell I always overlooked, but after sinking into the audio a few times I now regard it as a first league story. Who knows, perhaps that will happen with the savages
