Did we ever hear the story behind it supposedly being missing? I am curious as to how is suddenly complete.

Amazon now have this listed as a 31st April 2014 release. Shame. Network still have it as 2013 I think? I have a suspicion that maybe Amazon want to "squeeze out" people like me who preordered at the £14 price? What a cheapskate. We'll have to form a club.It was when I was checking my orders yesterday that I noticed it had been pushed back.Network give the same date now.

It's been suggested that people have been counting multi-part stories as one episode.Could be covered in a nice booklet.Surely Biggles is iconic enough to deserve one? I've been trying to think of any more cases where multi-parters might be hidden away in the archives...

I'll have to be careful how I pronounce that...
I was hoping that this might mean that episodes of 'Orlando' or 'Crane' might turn up,but of course they won't be in that archive. Any suggestions for other ATV serials?

Hi John [& others], just signed up tonight to "pro-boards.com" after googling & finding this thread about the 1960 Biggles TV Series. It is a big topic of interest on the www.bigglesforum.net website, & think I read here that someone had been to the "new Biggles forum". The last info we have on the Biggles forum is that the series is now not available until "31/12/2099": networkonair.com/shop/1759-biggles-the-complete-series-5027626391942.htmlWe are hoping of course [lol] that this is a typo, but it seems that this series is not destined to make it to DVD. However, I also wanted to ask if any of you looking for the series are on the Biggles forum? [my screen name is the same there as here!] Anyway, if there are any Biggles book fans here, we would love to see you on the forum, especially if some of you have some pics or 'tele-snaps' [?] of this series. Cheers, Kevin.

PLEASE POST UNDER A FULL REAL NAME PLEASE, AS THE RULES CLEARLY STATE. THANKS. THERE HAVE BEEN A LOT OF NEW MEMBERS POSTING LATELY WHO ARE NOT READING THE FORUM RULES FIRST, SO IN FUTURE, I WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DELETING POSTS WHICH DON NOT COMPLY WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE, AS IT WASTES A LOT OF TIME HAVING TO KEEP REMINDING PEOPLE WHO CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO CHECK FIRST! - Laurence

This is interesting: Both Network and Amazon still list Biggles as coming out sometime, but there's a different-huge variance in the price-Network show £36.00,while Amazon have a rather specific £57.80.I don't know how long Amazon have been showing this price. The episodes were BBFC'd a few years back.Could the series-hopefully-be on the verge of release?

Somebody on the Biggles forum mentioned two posts ago spotted the recent price change, too.Amazon had been showing the series as due to be delivered to customers this week, but not any more,so don't get too optimistic!

I've had an update from Amazon that they (still) haven't got a release date for this, but will keep me informed as things progress.(Or not).Is this standard for the start of a year?

Network have deleted titles which bore a holding release date of 2099,including Biggles, which is no longer listed for release.

Strangely enough some people on roobarb actually seem to have received theirs about a month ago?? It's still on amazon, isn't it? (Or am I mixing up two different shows now?)

It's still on pre-order on Amazon. It would be lovely if Biggles,London Bridge, etc. were to be relisted at Network, and appear!
