Right, I have called my local late night delivery peeps. Guess it's time to pop a cork Just as I've always thought there was no need to be too cynical about the rumour, I'm not going to get too over-excited now either. Not until it's all official! Radio times is official isn't it? Someone slap me down if I have turned simple. Glass in my hand

Certainly there's no pre-publicity on the iTunes Store for premiering missing Doctor Who episodes.Even on the page relating to Classic Dr. Who Series downloads there is no pre-publicity.You would have thought a download as big as this would be advertised,what,2 days before the event?Doesn't add up to me.Looks like it may be complete bullshit??When the Beatles back catalogue became available on iTUNES,there was huge pre-publicity.Would the BBC play it that close to their chest?Sorry to bring the euphoria down guys, but I want it to be water-tight before I start jumping in the air in ecstasy! There's a slight difference between the Beatles and Doctor Who in the size of audience and pop cultural relevance, as Doctor Who is still considered a cult show in much of the world.

Certainly there's no pre-publicity on the iTunes Store for premiering missing Doctor Who episodes...Would the BBC play it that close to their chest?... Apple runs iTunes, not the BBC. I suspect you don't get any publicity on iTunes unless you can convince Apple it's worth promoting. If I were Apple I probably wouldn't care much - I doubt many Who fans buy classic episodes from iTunes so it's probably not even registering on their radar. The lack of iTunes publicity makes no odds either way, in short - absence of evidence isn't the same thing as evidence of absence. This also. It should be noted that the Beatles downloads were an iTunes exclusive at the time (and I think still are). So it benefited Apple a lot to hype it out the yin-yang.

Well.it would be nice if the online recoveries were meant as a taster... I haven't been too happy with the limited choice of classic Doctor Who available on iTunes in America. Not many B&W serials are available, that includes Tomb of the Cybermen.

I'm currently on annual leave, going back to work on Wednesday. Never excited about going back to work but I can't wait now. Roll on Wednesday!

The Mirror with the specific info on the press invite and the Radio Times confirming different details is as good as proof before the official reveal. It's one thing to say that these rumours are nonsense when it's unverified sources and leaps of faith, but certain details in these two articles are far too specific to be wrong, i.e. iTunes releases and the invite with a 60s TV set on it! Tomorrow can't come soon enough.
