Has anybody heard the exact number of how many have been allegedly recovered? Other than the intense discussion ongoing for 6 months now?

Or perhaps there are no finds whatsoever and that the event on Tuesday is to do something else? After all, we have been told constantly, for months, that there is nothing, no finds, nothing. In fact someone "in the know" said that all the missing episodes were destroyed, over, the end. Is Steve Freestone really comical Ali in disguise?

Certainly there's no pre-publicity on the iTunes Store for premiering missing Doctor Who episodes.Even on the page relating to Classic Dr. Who Series downloads there is no pre-publicity.You would have thought a download as big as this would be advertised,what,2 days before the event?Doesn't add up to me.Looks like it may be complete bullshit??When the Beatles back catalogue became available on iTUNES,there was huge pre-publicity.Would the BBC play it that close to their chest?Sorry to bring the euphoria down guys, but I want it to be water-tight before I start jumping in the air in ecstasy!

I quite agree. (Said he,carefully placing a foot in both camps!).

I suspect you don't get any publicity on iTunes unless you can convince Apple it's worth promoting. If I were Apple I probably wouldn't care much - I doubt many Who fans buy classic episodes from iTunes so it's probably not even registering on their radar. The lack of iTunes publicity makes no odds either way, in short - absence of evidence isn't the same thing as evidence of absence.

I'm sure Ian Levine knows nothing.

If these were going to be released next week then surely there would have to be an entry on the BBFC website demonstrating that they had been submitted for classification? Forgive me if I am wrong, but like every other film/TV show, wouldn't these episodes need to be submitted for classification - even if it is for download?

BBFC has no remit with regard to download - only physical copies.
