Dee Time went out live and weren't recorded at all - 99% just vanished into the ether.
is that so? some of the best shows were made in the 60's and now we have little or nothing to look back at.
i know for a fact that when simon dee left the bbc and went to lwt all those shows were recorded and are still in the archives
and yet to be given another airing...i dont know why the tv people dont understand what the public want and dont want?
its so bloody clear now that people like to wacth old tv shows etc so why the hell cant itv start a proper retro tv channel and let us see all the old programmes!!
i hate itv3 it CRAP!!! all they do is repeat the same old rubbish twice a day!!!
and uk gold is even worse!! waiting for god and my family!!!!! ugggggghhhhhhh!!!! i dispise those shows!!!!!!
we are meant to be in the age of multiple choice channels...crap..crap or more crap!!
i dont want dads army!!!!!! its not funny!!!! its boring!!!!
who out there would love to wacth the original magpie from 1968-1969 when it was broadcast in black and white?
i would!! there must be so much archieve material stored gathering dust
and no one can have the sense to see that there is a big crowd out here that would wacth them if only the tv companies would show them!!!
all we keep getting is boring cooking programmes and house make overs!!!! im sick to my back teeth of those programmes!!
i predict that tv has reached its peak and cannot go any further.
tv can only get worse
its time we the licence payers had some say over what is shown on tv.
the decision makers are getting it wrong and we need people in there that are in touch with the public and find out and understand what we want to wacth.
what we are getting now is shyt!!!!!
tv in my youth(70's and 80's) was much better than it is now and thats why people are always looking back.
look at the trash kids get these day? ministry of mayhem!! thats just another version of tiswas and i hated tiswas!! and still do because it is mindless trash!!! people throwing custard at each other for 2 hours!!! great!!
its cheap rubbish and doesnt take much effort .
programmes like art attack is good because it inspires kids to tap into themselves and learn to draw and be creative.
there should be more stuff like that.
if i had kids i would never encourage them to watch the tweenies or anything with stupid nonsense like that.
anyway that my monday moan
