I can remember 10.c.c appearing on this show. They sang their current single SILLY LOVE and its b side SACRO-ILLIAC, for a short period the show was repeated (maybe in just the granada region ) on Saturday lunchtimes before world of sport. I also remember the Hollies on the show and they sang a song calles (i think) TIME MACHINE JIVE?.

Hi gary ,sorry but ive only just noticed your post on 45 ,thank you so much for your memories of the show ,it is much appreciated ,hopefully if we keep these threads going ,bit by bit more and more snippets of info will be come available of the show ,even though there is some info in archives about the show ,there is still a lot of info missing ,as ive said before 45 featured each week five bands or singers ,as well as the dance troupe ,in total at least 7 to 8 songs were performed on the show ,but on a lot of episode guides only 2 or 3 are mentioned ,leaving a lot of performers names missing ,thanks for reading folks ,and i really hope that this thread keeps active.

Hi krsweet ,many thanks mate for providing us with the info on the hollies songs on 45 ,your help is very much appreciated ,it does look like most weeks on the show a perticular band or singer was given the chance of singing at least a couple of their tracks on what was refered to as the live spot on the show ,i thought the hollies might have been given the chance to sing their 1974 classic ,air that i breathe ,on this show ,but it doesent look like that happened ,i cant stress enough on how grateful i am to people like yourself helping to fill in the gaps with song titles and guests etc, have you any chance got the access to find out how many times sweet performed on 45 ,i think they were on at least 3 different editions of 45 ,but if you have got the exact info that would be great.

Hi william ,and the other members who have contributed to the 45 thread ,have we anymore updates to add to the shows ,the only one ive found recentley is that someone on another website was at the recording of the may 1974 edition filmed at belle view amusement park in manchester ,and they can remember definitley watching the bay city rollers performance filmed in front of the monster ride ,but also the group federation who sang a song, cant remember what they said it was at the moment,in front of another fair ride ,now i know we have got the bcrs performance listed for that edition ,but there is no mention of the group in the listings on the web of federation.

There was a record by a band called Federation on EMI in 1974. The title was 'Scallywag'.

Hi Jerry, I've not forgotten your search for more '45' info,I still go to the National Library of Scotland every 2 weeks or so and if I see any new info I'll let you know. Cheers William
