Yes thanks so much william for your excellent result on discotheque pop series ,please if you find any more ,on this show or lift off ,please let us know ,i know this is a bit of a long shot ,but i dont suppose that there is any info around november ,december 1964 ,about the new totp dancers The GoJos,or the arrival of pans people in the spring of 1968,many thanks Hi Jerry, GoJos UPDATE number 4I came across an article on The GoJos today in The Disc and Music Echo, basically, it was a review of TOTP from the 22/10/66 and the reviewer was mentioning The GoJos being as welcome as The Black Death!I have ordered the article so I cannot say anymore just now,but as soon as I pick it up I'll put it on here for you and other forum members to see. cheers William

Hi william ,do you know if the review was from totp 20th oct 66 ,as the only entries ive got for october 1966 on the gojos database ive done on one for the dads is 13th october 66 dancing to guantanemera and the 27th of oct dancing to reach out ill be there ,so im really hoping that its from the 20th oct ,and the song will be mentioned they performed to ,as that will then give me another song to enter on my gojos totp database ,cheers mate.

hi william ,many thanks indeed mate for the article about the gojos dancing to guantanamera on totp ,it was very interesting in the fact that we now know what the costumes were for that particular dance ,i once asked jo cook how on earth she interpretated that song ,and she said it was done very carefully with a rumba feel in mind ,but she didnt describe the costumes ,anyway its a good job the public and the producers of totp didnt think the same way as the reviewer in the paper ,if the GoJos hadnt made an impression on totp and the public ,i hardly think that they would have carried on employing dancers on the show ,and if dance troupes werent popular i dont think they would have given pans people a chance ,because if something didnt prove popular on totp then it was out .

Hi william ,thanks for the offer ,i dont know if you will find any details ,but if its possible could you have a look and see ,if there is any info on granada tv new pop show that started 1st november 1968 called discotheque ,only there is very little info anywhere about this pop show ,also do you know if the pop show lift off, which began november 69 is mentioned anywhere ,in the papers ,many thanks. Discotheque UPDATE number 9According to the Disc and Music Echo Billy J.Kramer was going to fly out to Australia on the 1st August 1969 to promote "Discotheque" and his new single of the time. Hopefully, the Australians bought old episodes of the show which might still be lingering in their archives somewhere? To follow the "Discotheque" research postings from the beginning please see pages 1,3,6,8,9,10,12 and 15
