IF they do. IT'S NOT A DEFINITE. It's a good mix of songs, styles, years and from 64-76 only two years (one being 1964) don't have at least one performance in the 25 suggested.

I hope the BBC take on board the suggestions.
There are many passive fans who would like to see these clips, and not just a small group of aficianados.

I'm not obviously able to tell you what my suggestions were, but I took on board what everyone said, and I made a very balanced choice. To whittle it down to 25 songs was not easy. I was only biased with one suggestion (which would have made several people's lists anyway). Despite the 'collectors' market and yotube, there's 12 or 13 of the performances I don't own, and a couple I've never seen. And at least one selection from every year 1965 to 1976 inclusive bar 1968, oddly. No act was featured twice. I was told not to include dance troupes, promos or ZDF footage, and I didn't. Although there are many big names on the list, there are a few which wouldn't count as household names. Asmall majority of the acts were British. Two are female singers. Three songs didn't make the top thirty. One song was a number one (actually, I suppose you could say two were....). One song was completely live. There was quite a few live vocals. Several songs came from a few of the same editions. Earliest song was from 65, latest 76. I believe three have been issued on DVD somewhere, legally or semi-legally (not counting bootlegs....) And, the odd clue for you.........two drummers from the same band are featured on different clips, one 'playing' with the band, the other guesting with another act and clapping along....anyway, quality was important (a few are broadcast quality), but a few are from domestic recordings. I have some reserves, just in case the BBC reject any.

One song was a number one Well 'Angel Fingers' made the list then Ray..!! ;D Thomas. Erm.... There is a reserve list, as well.... I had to be a bit harsh. There are some excellent ones on the list. I think two or three are obvious choices, that's pretty much it. Because there are 100 plus performances that would qualify it was very difficult to select something to keep everyone happy. Nonetheless, it's not at all definite that BBC Four will do the show, or the choices I made will be agreed upon, although I am sure that at least two of them will be agreed with (myself and the E.P actually looked at two online, and he agreed that the two in question were worth showing at some point....) As previously mentioned, several of them are NOT on youtube or on the Collectors market. The BBC have some, Kal and the BFI have some, 3 have been issude on DVD (one VERY HARD to find....) and a few are on the 'collectors market'. Stressing again, no dance troupes promo videos or ZDF. If I could have persuaded BBC Four to do the 13 episodes I wanted....

I will have to do a new list. For certain reasons I am unable to discuss, there may be a bigger list....

The thing is, though, in my opinion the Everybody Get Together clip - heavily staged though it may well have been - shows both 1970 TOTP and latter-day DC5 in a very favourable light indeed. In fact, I'd go as far to say showing EGT on BBC4 in whatever context would actually generate sales for Mr Clark as well as a critical re-appraisal from the 2012 audience. Any danger of us ever seeing this performance before we die of old age?

That's the version which appeared on the DC5 compilation video "Glad All Over Again", in the 1990s. Here's the performance from TOTP (26 Feb '70) hosted by that rogue Savile. Quality isn't up to much (you'll need to whack the brightness up a bit) but worth seeing, as it's top 'n' tailed by the Cufflinks and Edison Lighthouse:
