A few '60s clips were recovered just before Sounds Of The '60s was assembled and reported at the time as having come from ex-BBC employees / technicians (I think The Last Time may have been one of these). There's no single source for all the odds and ends that have turned up though.

Ah, right. Could have been his then - good on Bob! There were a clutch of newly found (certainly hadn't turned up previously) clips in that series. There was also Get Off Of My Cloud and Come Tomorrow (Manfred Mann), which seemed to be new appearances too. Maybe all of them came from him.

Although I'm writing from memory, I'm certain that The Stones TOTP clip was shown (in part) in The Rock & Roll Years in the 80s.
And just to nitpick, I believe the original performance was on 4th March, but may well have been repeated on 11th.
Also, I recall reading just before Sounds of the Sixties was broadcast, that several t/rs had been discovered that had been copied by BBC staff, and hidden under floorboards at the BBC. Thank goodness rules are made to be broken.
Colin.

Yes, although that one had been around for a long time, first unearthed in a '70s OGWT. I just really meant the few newer ones which seemed to appear for the SOTS series.

They were still finding Bob Pratt tapes in the last ten years. Seriously! They have now all been catalogued, in the past two years or so.

Is there any way we can see the list of his catalogued items?

I asked the BBC for it earlier this year. I guess some things are confidential....but I will work on that in March....

I've compiled a brief list of chart acts who've also appeared on my favourite music show OGWT who I would love to see on TOTP2. Colin Blunstone-14/12/71, Strawbs-20/2/73, Leo Sayer/Don Mclean-9/10/73, Gallagher & Lyle-6/11/73, Sutherland Brothers & Quiver-20/1/74, Cockney Rebel-10/2/74, Elton John-9/7/74 and Smokie 11/4/75 as far as I know these have never been repeated on British tv.
