Hi john ,yes the link for the other thread for lift off has lots of great info on the show ,but this last couple of months ,glen and william and others have filled in a lot more gaps with even more valuable info of guests on the shows from the daily newspapers etc ,guests that had not been documented on the episode guides until this info had been further researched on this thread. That's great Jerry.I was hoping that some of the information on the earlier thread might buttress suggestions made here over the last few months. Most of that thread,of course,is now of historical interest itself "What's the name of the dance troupe?".Speaking of historical interest,I see that Ayshea was predicting in her Look-In column that there'd be a landing on Mars by 1972...

I've done some more research and have some more details to add to the website. Link - Lift-Off ListingsThese are from TV Times listings and add detail such as songs sung and artists that were previously not known to be on the shows. I'll be adding to 12 shows between 1970 & 1974, time permitting over the next week.

Hi william ,once again many thanks goes to you again ,and of course keith badman for the article ,what a great pity network dvd wont release this remaining episode of lift off along with a few more granada pop shows ,apparentley this episode in question featured the bcrs singing in the studio all of me loves all of you ,eli culbertson singing ,i need your love tonight ,jigsaw sang a song ,not sure of the title or the song that ayshea sang ,barry blue helped along with ayshea to compare the show and also sang his latest release ,hot shot ,and the show finished with a repeat clip taken from 45 earlier in the year singing shangalang recorded at belle views funfair ,one thing that has always baffled me is who were the male dancers who appeared with barry blue on his hot shot performance ,because on this series the show had got rid of the dancers ,ken martynes The Feet had changed their name ,increased in numbers and moved over to the pop show 45 ,so william if you are in contact with keith badman he obviously had some info on this episode of lift off ,could you possibly ask if any choreographer was credited in the end titles ,many thanks once again.

Hi william ,thank you so much for asking keith .This forum along with great members like william and co have done a great job so far in finding out rare info and extra info on the pop show lift off which at the time was noted for being itvs equvilent of a junior totp ,because as we all know apart from totp ,nothing anywhere else on tv was available on any channel apart from lift off,so well done to all the members who have helped fill in the gaps and shared their memories on this forum, hopefully this wont be the end of this topic ,im hoping that in the future a few more memories from members ,or some more info from newspapers etc will get posted ,once again william and other members thanks for your input on this thread.

I was at the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh today, looking through old issues of The Daily Record newspaper between October and December 1969.
I came across mentions of Lift Off from the 5/11/69 onwards every Wednesday between 4:55pm to 5:20pm and the only bit of new info? might be that Desmond Dekker was on the 17/12/69 show.
I have tried to see if this info was on some old Lift Off thread or Lost Shows etc but I can't see it anywhere else?
If it is down on record somewhere else then no harm done.

Hi Jerry, no reply from Keith I'm afraid
I will however,be making another trip to the National Library of Scotland (don't know when) to research some more old issues of The Daily Record (a Scottish Tabloid) would you like me to research any particular year? if so let me know the year and a 3 month period i.e. JAN-MAR '73 or APR-JUN '74 that's how they've got the issues in huge binders and I'll see what I can find out from the TV listings or hopefully a small article or whatever.
In fact, I invite all members to send me a request on this thread for a certain year and 3 month period (for Lift Off With Ayshea Only) and whatever year/3 month period has the most requests between now and the date I'll be going to the library then that's the one I'll do!
I can't guarantee I'd find anything, but that's the thrill of the chase, when you do find a wee nugget of unknown info it's like pure gold.
I'd love to see the actual missing footage of programmes such as Lift Off With Ayshea of course; but finding out new info as to who was on such and such an edition on such and such a date is the next best thing (to me that is)
It's a pity that the library does'nt have old issues of music papers such as The Melody Maker, Disc and Music Echo, Record Mirror etc, that would be fantastic I'd never be out of the place if it did.
Cheers William

hi william ,any news from keith yet regarding the credits for the choreography for the episode he has got, many thanks. KEITH BADMAN UPDATEHi Jerry, I got the following e-mail from Keith Badman this morning, Sincere apologises for not replying sooner. Starting on a number of new projects, so I've been particularly busy. Was reminded of the question this morning when I saw the ME forum. Dance team credited on Lift Off... was the three-piece, one guy/ two girls, Him and Us. Their choreographer was the Granada TV regular, Teri Scoble. As you can see from above Keith views our forum, so once again, thank you Keith it's much appreciated.

Hi william ,and keith ,thanks for the message ,but im wondering william if keith has checked the credits of the show from oct 74 featuring bay city rollers ,barry blue etc ,because the dancers behind barry blue performing hot shot are defintley not him and us dancers ,him and us were teri scoble her twin sister lisa ,and older brother mike ,i know they were credited for the very last edition of lift off with ayshea from december 1974 ,but it was the dance team behind barry blue who i was wondering about ,if they were credited ,also william ,would it be possible mate if you could ask keith if he has any info on the very last show of lift off ,of what the dance team him and us performed to ,it is very much appreciated all the work you are doing for me william ,cheers mate once again.
